great food, good old country atmosphere, and value. We had the breakfast buffet, but everything was hot and fresh.

Our family took a ride up the parkway today and my father in law wanted to eat lunch here. I was a little skeptical at first but was pleasantly surprised. That said, I work in food service and have seen all sorts of things. As for the negative reviews, every place has bad days......but I tend to look at a... More

The service staff was very nice. The pancakes were okay. But after coming in twice to use the internet, the doors at the front were not cleaned days later and the carpets were still not cleaned either (Ugh, they were dirty)! We're talking several days later. They also were battling flies BIG time. Apparently, the locals eat the buffet and... More

We love Cousin Gary's for the breakfast buffet while traveling. Staff is friendly and helpful and the buffet is worth the (in our opinion) reasonable price. The biscuits are great and we always order a dozen to take with us! We hit Cousin Gary's headed South and again headed back North! It is good for families also. They are very... More

I had the lunch buffet for 7 bucks. Nothing fancy, the usual southern fare with fried chicken, meat loaf, ribs, mashed potatoes and so on. But it was quite tasty and the value was unbeatable. If they still make a profit with those prices, than all other restaurant owners must be millionaires in no time. I would definitely come back,... More

This was recommended by the desk clerk at our motel. The food was edible. It was not expensive but I would never go back nor would I recommend this place to anyone only because there are nicer places to go. In fairness we did not order off the menu. We had the buffet fare. The service was attentive and efficient.... More

We were passing through the area today and stopped in after church for lunch. The food was fantastic. Fried Chicken on the buffet was great. So were the vegetables and cake. Also had hamburger steak, ribs, fish, and some other meats on the bar. Dessert was the best part. Large cakes and some chocolate oatmeal fudge. I say everyone should... More

Stopped there on Tuesday night... Tuesday night is breakfast buffet night... The service was a joke. I ordered fried chicken since we were in North Carolina and they all wear shirts claiming they have the best dang chicken in town. Must be the only damn chicken in town. They either lie or it the only damn chicken in town. It... More

Over the years I have eaten several times at this restaurant and one thing is very apparent. If you are not a regular, you will have a hard time getting served. The food is not bad most of the time. They have a decent breakfast buffet and sometimes the lunch is good. Several examples of their service are: My mother... More
