A place where the locals go for a decent breakfast, nothing special, diner food. I had a basic egg meal with toast and home fries, met expectations.

This restaurant has been on Ocrakoke for a very long time and after a breakfast here you will know why. Quick, friendly service. Decent menu of standards but seafood omlet was quite good & reasonably priced. Local table for local gossip. Coffee cups kept full. Fine home-style gathering place that should be in every community.

I was waiting for the ferry and was told to go here for breakfast since few places are open after the tourist season best Western omelet ever and I took their incredible bisquits (huge!)to go for the ferry ride. Delicious.. owner sources food locally and even catches the fish for the menu...wished I lived there!

Visiting in Sept, things had started to close down on this small barrier island village. However, Pony Island Restaurant was open. It is a short distance from the main central part of the village. However, maybe just a bit far to walk, unless you're up for a 15 minute walk. This is a home-style food place. Traditional breakfast items were... More

A very good country breakfast with the biggest serving of country ham that I have ever received. Service is fast and food is served very hot. Erin our server was really on her game. It can get a little stuffy in here so go forewarned but go just the same. The eggs are served just right and the link sausage... More

Sunday Brunch at the Pony was a real treat. Even in Sept had a waiting list but not too long. They also have an outside area and an A/C waiting area.

We go there almost every morning while staying in Ocracoke. I've NEVER been disappointed. They're menu has a variety of dishes and will likely satisfy anyone. Oh, and the prices will not be beat either! You can easily be stuffed and your bill will be less than $8.
