My son and I ate breakfast there and the food was very good. The place had emptied out and we were the only ones there but overall a very good experience. I had the crab and swiss cheese omelet and it was delicious! Very good quality food and great coffee! more
Not sure what some of the negative folks are talking about. I have been frequenting PIR since the 70"s. Great breakfast--the place is packed with fishermen in the fall and can't wait to go. Certain times of year it is open in the evening and be sure to let them fry your own fish. It doesn't pretend to be something... more
Every time we've been for breakfast has just been awesome! Unless something has changed in the last year or two since we've eaten there, I would very highly recommend it for breakfast! more
The Pony Island Restaurant, located next to the Pony Island Motel, reminded me of the places we used to go to while on vacation in the 1970s. bad atmosphere. sub par food. really empty so i have no idea how this place stays open. prices are too high for the quality of food even in a beach town. try somewhere else more

The breakfast potatoes were right out of the freezer bag, They were dry and tasteless. After our food arrived we never saw the waiter again, except when... more
A great place to go for breakfast. Think hometown, homecooked, comfort food. A good place to linger over coffee. more
The Pony Island Restaurant has no affiliation with the motel. Good homecooked food and a nice owner and family. I go for the Pony Potatoes. Hash Browns with grated cheese, salsa and sour cream on the side. I like mine with a fried egg on top. more
