Pony Island is family-owned and -operated, and we've been going there for breakfast forever. The staff is alright... not bad but not great either. The food is basic and consistent, and I decided to look for something with really good breakfast food and found it elsewhere. I doubt we'll be going to Pony Island for breakfast anymore.

Had a good breakfast. It's dated, and I'm sure it's been there forever, but as a quick breakfast choice, it worked. I would go for lunch or dinner though, just breakfast.

PI is great. They are a typical diner and the only one on the island. Service is prompt and friendly (in true diner fashion). This is a compliment for those of us who appreciate a really good diner. There can be a wait on busy days, even in September. Good food at a reasonable price. You can't beat it.

Best for breakfast, and reasonably price. Give it a shot. We generally go here on the morning we leave the island for the ferry.

Stopped here making our way from Hatteras to Cedar Island and we were so hungry! The staff was incredibly friendly, the food came out fast, and we loved our breakfast! Make sure you get the biscuits!

Very fast service for breakfast and child friendly. Average food but good service. We did not eat dinner here.

Great Saturday morning country breakfast. Efficient cook and wait staff keeps the wait lines short. But for a great breakfast in the good old way, this is a "must."

We always make sure we go here when we are in Ocracoke. They get you in and out in no time. And you have to try the pony island potatoes. Delish!!

Had the broiled seafood platter. It was amazing. Fish, Oysters and shrimp were fresh and tasty. The crab cake was amazing, all crab and a hint of bread. The Calamari was also fresh and fried perfectly. The service was just as awesome as the food. A must visit.

Always a must visit on Ocracoke! Biscuits and sausage gravy, blueberry pancakes and traditional breakfast fare are always well done. My kids love the blueberry pancakes and Virginia ham. That ham is salty, but so delicious. Breakfast is served till 11am and then they close till dinner. Dinner is always great as well, but we primarily visit for breakfast.
