Changed the name. Now Ocracoke Oyster Company

Name needs to be changed on TripAdvisor. Now called Ocracoke Oyster Company. Huge space. Front porch is very roomy and has ceiling fans with a screen in porch. Nice are inside as well with a separate bar and pool table adjacent. Very friendly waiter (Carmen) when we came here for lunch. Patty at... read more

The restaurant has the same owners we were told, but they have changed the name to the Ocracokes Oyster Company. We chose to go there on a Friday night to hear local musicians: Martin & Marcy. Our server was a young man who did not seem that interested in his job. He never told us the specials, although the female... More

The po'boy shrimp sandwich is loaded with shrimp and the fries are huge curled steak fries. Tasty food with good service. All items on the menu were very reasonably priced.

Glad they changed the name, would not have stopped before. Simple, clean, good waitress, fun and accommodating, food -- we had a bowl of Crab Bisque (hubby ordered, I tried it -- it was good!) and shared a Tuna Melt. It was good. Sustained us for the rest of the day. They had a game room in there as well,... More

We should have sent those tasteless bivalves back. We made the wrong choice for our Anniversary dinner. The service was horrible as well. We were one of about four tables in the whole place. Do yourself a favor and head to any other place on the island. We had oysters the next day @ Howard's Pub and they were awesome.

Though most of the time, the oysters are not local-- the afternoon special is noteworthy. This restaurant has changed ownership several times, but the service and quality seem to remain the same.

My wife and I went for supper on the last night of our honeymoon stay. She got fried flounder, which was good. I got a dozen oysters steamed medium and they were like eating rubber. They weren't over cooked, just chewy. Service was decent. I will not go back and don't recommend.

They have now changed the name to Ocracoke Oyster Company, went in for lunch at 2P.M. atmosphere was plain but kind of cool, waited quite awhile for a server to come see us considering there was only a few other tables with patrons, ordered our food and drinks, thought it was a long time to get our drinks but that... we walked here from the closeby rv park. thought the name was catchy. I had 1/2 doz oysters on the half shell. these were smaller than the ones I had last year on the florida pan handle but were good. my wife had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. both were good. I had the fish reuben. fantastic. waitress was... More

Nothing remarkable. Pleasant enough service, as one would expect if a business wants to survive. Simple, basic burgers, seafood, fries, beer, etc. Eat and you will not be hungry. We were just about the only ones in here; service was good, food was perfectly edible, we didn't get sick, but we won't be back because it was just, overall, so-so.... More
