Great outdoor dining.

Excellent food, service, wine. Easy place to dine alone or bring a friend or your puppy. I understand they also have a fabulous shrimp hour from 3 to 5.

We took the ferry from hatteras,we are glad we did. The homemade cornbread was amazing. My daughter had the crab mac and cheese,my wife and I had the shrimp creole both dishes were excellent. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this fine establishment. After you leave you won't feel like you got ripped off.

Dajio was chosen as our breakfast spot by one of our friends who had done a bit of recon on a day trip to Ocracoke the week before. They brought back a menu and the deal was sealed when I spotted the Crème Brulee French Toast. We were greeted with a warm and friendly smile when we arrived at Dajio... More

We spent a month in the States, and for me this was the most disappointing meal of the whole holiday (and that includes a couple of trips to McDonalds!!) We picked it from the menu and reviews on here, plus the fact that our other choice was still closed as it was early in the season. The food sounded lovely... More

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to provide a review for your experience at Dajio. Nobody likes every meal at every restaurant and I wish you had told your server it wasn't to your liking. We would have happily provided you another selection complimentary. We use 6 oz of locally caught blue crab meat and a sauce of imported gruyere,... More

We were on the Island for only a short time and needed a place for breakfast. Saw this place as we drove by and decided to give it a try. We were glad we did. It is very upscale and the food was delicious. We felt the prices were comparable to other places. The staff was friendly. It is a... More

A bit more formal than many others on Ocracoke, the quality of the food justifies its somewhat higher price point and the generally more upscale environment - but it's still right in the center of a vacation town, so it's still a relaxing environment. The food is well prepared and pleasantly presented; the staff has always been friendly and prompt... More

We ate here twice and the only reason I did not rate it five stars was my meal the first night was only so so. However, my two friends' meals were excellent as well as the appetizers. On the next day two of us ate lunch there and our salads were delicious. The portions are generous, the staff friendly and... More

Dajio has a wonderful menu of interesting choices for all tastes. Try the macaroni and cheese with crab dinner. Very rich, but full of of crab. Fish of the day that evening (bluefish) was perfectly prepared with a light batter. Nice selection of wines by the glass and bottle. After dinner head right next door to the indoor/outdoor bar where... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Dajio's. The hostess and waitress were very friendly and helpful. Food was fresh and the fish was fresh-caught. We ate in the brick patio in front of the restaurant--landscaping gave it privacy and a quiet setting. Highly recommended. Locals were eating there and that's always a good sign.
