We were staying at Captains Landing for a week in October and although our room had a full kitchen we decided to eat dinner out every night. Being that Dajio was right across the street and a close walk we decided to go there for dinner on our first night. I’ll get right to the point about the service and... More

Had the oysters rockafeller appetizer. The oysters were so small they were essentially non-existent. The pizza however was fantastic and made up for the appetizer. If you want pizza go there but skip the oysters.

Had dinner at Dajio's and it was great. The name is a little strange but I understand it is the owners initials or something like that. The sun was setting and it was a very intimate and wonderful place to be. Had wine and we all shared several of the entrees. Can't go wrong with any of them.

After getting off the late ferry, this was the easiest restaurant to arrive at. Food was good, but very expensive. Service was so so, having to ask for extra bread a number of times. Beware of liquor prices--- Scotch was $12.00 for a smaller sized glass. Very few restaurants open in Ocracoke this time of year, so if you are... More

Doug and Judy continue to excel in Ocracoke. Over the past several years it has improved and stabilised. Great flavors, good fresh local sea food, spice and heat where it should be, all yum!

The food was fresh and nicely prepared and presented in a way that made the experience even better. Great service and good value for the quality of the food. Not cheep but worth the cost.

We stopped at Dajio for a late lunch and had the whole place to ourselves. Portions were the right size and delicious! They accommodated a special diet and were happy to make it diet friendly. Very knowledgeable staff of things to do on the island.

I'm Not certain, what some of the Naysayers who have reviewed Dajio, are talking about? We discovered this Lil' Gem, on our journey down the East Coast. A local, whom we met on the ferry ride from Hatteras Island, recommended it to us, so we popped in to give it a try. We only had an hour, before we had... More

We are home owners and part time residents of the island. Over the past ten years, we have tried Dajio multiple times and always been disappointed, sometimes about the food, but usually about the slow and unfrienly service. With the closure of Cafe Atlantic , early seasonal closure of Flying Melon ( and because we dont cook much) we decided... More

Hi we are truly sorry you were disappointed with your experience. It' s especially troubling considering you are a part time resident and we generally are very popular among locals, both part time and full time. It's true we do have a policy that we don't serve pizza in our dining room. It's not because we are somehow pretentious or... More

My wife and I dined here in 2013 when we stayed right across the street at the Bluff Shoal motel. I remembered that the presentation wasn't fantastic but the food turned out to be great so we returned this year (2014) and found the same thing. I ordered the Lime Chile Pesto with shrimp. It didn't look like much in... More
