This was our nicest meal on Ocracoke. We were early and pretty much the only diners, and that suited us just fine. The jalapeno cornbread that comes out before the meals is super moist and tasty--don't skip it. I had the vegan tacos as my entree, and they were full of grilled fresh veggies. The tortillas were made in-house, which... More

On our first trip back to Ocracoke after two years, we were already anticipating how many times we would visit Dajio in the week. So far, we're two breakfasts, one dinner, and one late night live music on the patio with a few drinks! And we have two days left. I could rave about the food, but I'd basically be... More

Wife and I had dinner. Both of us were dining light and enjoyed our selections. I had the clam soup and Tempura Shrimp tacos, she had a salad and Lime Chili Pesto with chicken. Decent wine selection. The wine glasses could use an upgrading however.

While waiting for the ferry to Cedar Island we stopped in for afternoon lunch. My husband had the fresh fish sandwich and I had the turkey panini. Both were excellent. Service was fast. No problem making our ferry time.

If you have food allergy, stay away from this place. The staffs have little knowledge about food allergies. Nor do they took it seriously. Being on a secluded island that can only be reached by ferries and without a hospital, people with serious food allergies should absolutely stay away from this restaurant. My 10-year old son has severe dairy allergy.... More

Dajio just became our new favorite breakfast spot in Ocracoke! Upon arrival we were seated promptly by Courtney, our very cheerful server. The dining area was a charming glassed-in porch, which provided for pleasant and brightly lit dining. The breakfast menu wasn't large, but that was okay since everything on it sounded delicious. My wife ended up ordering the creme... More

My family and I went to breakfast at Dajio and the same day, we returned for dinner. The breakfast is awesome! The Creme Brûlée French toast is incredible! Seriously a must! For dinner we had the crab dip for an appetizer. It is unbeatable! I had the crab and corn cakes which are so, so good. They do have a... More

We had lunch and enjoyed a great burger meal on the outside patio. The location is in the center of the village within walking distance to many shops, marinas, etc. The service was great and atmosphere very nice. The dinner menu is a little pricy, but the lunch items are very reasonable considering the great location.

My wife and I have been to Ocracoke several times over the last few years. We have always talked about eating at Dajio and have not made it until this trip. The reviews were mostly good. I liked the fact that they use local seafood and grow their own herbs for their dishes. It was a rainy night and my... More
