Had some amazing fried oysters (normally I only like them raw but these ones were really special). The rest was good too.

We were walking around the island with our dog and stopped in for lunch on the patio. The staff made all three of us feel at home. The sandwiches were great and the service excellent, including the water bowl for the puppy. We will definitely return.

We dined at Dajio around six-ish on a Friday evening and found we were the only couple there (inside). The menu was very interesting - I wanted to try everything just based on the descriptions! The food was good, the presentation nice. I ordered a roasted beet salad that seemed comparatively small. I found rotted salad greens, which was not... More

This nice restaurant in Ocracoke is a great stop for lunch. The cornbread is so moist you can eat it with a fork. Sandwiches and entrees of seafood as well as pizza. Outdoor seating as well as indoor and enclosed porch.

I absolutely love Dajio. The atmosphere, the service and the food all melds into one of the best restaurants on the Outer Banks. I love Doug and Judy and their passion for the business.

The food was great here. The atmosphere was very classy. The hostess and our waitress were both very friendly and had refined customer service skills. The prices are in line with most OBX establishments.

We had a wonderful dinner experience at Daijo! The ingredients were very fresh and the recipes creative. We ordered a spicy oyster platter that was fabulous. Nothing disappointed us. The service was friendly and efficient. Great place to eat in Ocracoke.

We always eat @ Howard's when visiting the quaint village of Ocracoke but our usual standby was closed so we decided to give Dajio a try. We were not disappointed with their fresh, innovative menu choices. I enjoyed their local cornmeal encrusted oysters with crispy homemade potato chips and an amazing slaw salad. My husband ordered the fresh pasta with... More

We took the ferry over and were shocked at how few restaurants were open - even Howard's Pub was closed! Fortunately Dajio had just opened for the season. The food was exceptional. The clam chowder was unlike any I have ever had but it was delicious. I wish the bowl was a little larger. Courtney suggested that I try the... More

We spend several weeks a year in the Outer Banks, and we always make it a point to visit Ocracoke and have lunch at Dajio. We love the outdoor seating, the creative menu and overall great atmosphere. We really enjoy the clam chowder: it’s dark, rich and super flavorful. The Cerviche was incredible – all the seafood is part of... More
