I was here in June with my family, and we we re very pleased. We have family in from Michigan, so we suggested the Perch. The food again was excellent. The crab cake sandwich was huge and very well seasoned.. I'm not sure if they make them in house or not, but it sure seems like it. The grouper sandwich... More

We went there on Friday, August 29 (start of Labor Day weekend). Our waitress took a while to get to our table and take our drink orders. She was clearly over-assigned on tables. Very poor planning on management's part to not have more waitstaff working since there was a very large event with live music and a very big crowd... More

We have owned on the Island for 8 years and decided to try the Pelican Perch since it has been took over by a new owner and renovated. My wife and I including our 2 kids were blown away with the beautiful renovations and décor. We visited the restaurant 3 times in one week and each night tried something new.... More

Granted we came on Fourth of July weekend but this place was unprepared for a large crowd to say the least. We waited thirty minutes did a table and them was seated at a table that was empty when we arrived and the hostess had told me it was for someone that was in line ahead of us?? Waited two... More

Wow is the best first word/impression that I could use to describe Sharon and Ed's establishment (yes, I know them by first name). Who would've known that a place as beautiful and peaceful as Ocean Isle could have just one reliable source of all around entertainment and food (I'm not gonna bad mouth the other place). The level of service... More

Discovered this place for lunch. Food and service were good, not exceptional. Wife ordered crab cake sandwhich which was very good a just a little bit spicey, but again, very good. I got fish sandwich which was average, kinda bland. We got sides of seasoned fries and onion rings, which were fine, just typical like most other places. Would not... More

First spot we stopped at when we arrived in Ocean Isle. It was the off-season and in the middle of the afternoon, so it was perfect for relaxed appetizers and beer outside. The only thing that would have made it better would be for the restaurant to be ocean-front (but you can't have everything). Our server struck a good balance... More

I stopped here for a quick lunch and ordered a combo cup so she crab soup and side salad ($13). I have had this soup at many different places and have to say it was wonderful :). The service was good and the customers were laughing and seemed to be enjoying themselves. There is outside seating also.

We ate at the pelican perch yesterday. Many of the restaurants are closed at this time of year. I saw on line they had blast shrimp but when I got to the restaurant it was no longer offered. I asked the waitress for it and they made it for me. The food was very good and reasonably priced. We will... More
