Good eats

The waitress that we had seemed to be too busy to wait on us but other than that everything else was great. The food was wonderful!

Very basic breakfast food just so so. I had a veggie omelet that was very runny, not really undercooked but probably too much moisture from veggies. The toast was cold & very dry. The grits were just okay. My husbands cheese & bacon omelet was very skimpy on the bacon. I would have like some fruit with breakfast, but not... More

A no frills place just for good home cooking. The menu has a great choice but try the Mexican Omelet. the service is great and staff very attentive, pretty much treat you like family. Place is open 7 days a week and well worth a visit.

Very casual! Good southern breakfast food. Large portions. Pecan pancakes are my favorite. Fairly crowded on weekends.

I'll start with the bad: 1. The grits were watery with some big lumps. 2. The hash browns had no seasoning or onions so they tasted like chopped up french fries. The good: 1. Our scrambled eggs were good. 2. I asked for well done bacon (I said they could burn it) and it came out perfect the first time.... More

The service and food here was exceptional. I really enjoyed the regulars and interaction with them from the wait staff. The omelette and pancakes were very good and filling. I would come back here without any reservation.

Everyone in this town knows what customer service is, better yet they treat you like you've been there before and eager to conversation with you. The food was perfect and cooked exactly the way we wanted it.

I moved down here a few years ago to take care of my mother and Just needed a place to go to get away and My Father John Clary who works at the airport sent my husband and I To Bean's. I love that all the Locals were there and I got to hear about the area. Now the food... More

Beana's was a good place to eat until the cook/owner passed away last year. It's a nice enough family running the place now, but no one knows how to cook, even eggs (G.I. distress-inducing), and that's a bummer. This is a good place to talk with the locals, maybe have a cup of coffee and a (lousy) piece of pie,... More

We headed down to Southport for the Flotilla and Saturday morning we started looking for a place to eat. We had passed Beana's Kitchen several times while out on Oak Island and decided to try there. There were a lot of people there but we got a table immediately- but the air was blowing on my neck so we asked... More
