I moved down here a few years ago to take care of my mother and Just needed a place to go to get away and My Father John Clary who works at the airport sent my husband and I To Bean's. I love that all the Locals were there and I got to hear about the area. Now the food... More

Beana's was a good place to eat until the cook/owner passed away last year. It's a nice enough family running the place now, but no one knows how to cook, even eggs (G.I. distress-inducing), and that's a bummer. This is a good place to talk with the locals, maybe have a cup of coffee and a (lousy) piece of pie,... More

We headed down to Southport for the Flotilla and Saturday morning we started looking for a place to eat. We had passed Beana's Kitchen several times while out on Oak Island and decided to try there. There were a lot of people there but we got a table immediately- but the air was blowing on my neck so we asked... More

We tried to stop here based on the reviews, but there was a sign on the door that they do not accept debit or credit cards. There was an ATM inside. We will have to try again when we have cash on hand.

My husband and I are expecting our first child and were on a little "babymoon" in Oak Island and were looking for a good breakfast locale. A search on Trip Advisor showed this place. We enjoyed a great breakfast, good service by friendly locals, and some good recommendations for other things to see on the island. We enjoyed it!

Seems the guy that sells the same frozen potatoes to Russell's has also got Beana's buying them too. That is really the only complaint I had. The eggs, toast, and tenderloin were all good, but those dang potatoes are awful. I know it's a fast way to cook potatoes, but please make some real home fries or nice crispy hash... More

Looking for a regular breakfast:eggs, sausage, biscuits, coffee. STILL LOOKING. The coffee had a muddy taste. My wife asked for a fresher cup. The wait person said it was freshly made. Uh-oh. She was right. The second cup was just as bad. Maybe it's the water on the island? Maybe they should spring for bottled water. The sausage biscuit was... More

We came during Labor day weekend 2014 around 9 am. There were about 7 parties ahead of us and it was very quick to get in. The service was great, and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for: local, family oriented and quaint. We had biscuits and gravy, eggs, pancakes, sausage, ham and waffles with drinks for three... More

Looking for a place on the island and gave Beana's a try. Staff was very friendly, but food and coffee was average. The very loud waitress was on duty.
