We've eaten at Fabio's since he came to years ago, watched his kids grow up behind the counter, and were in the restaurant when he so proudly announced obtaining his US citizenship. The food is always plentiful, well prepared, and reasonable. The summer every other week wine tasting meals are incredible. A five course meal with 5 wines for $26.00!

Dropped in on Fabio's this week for breakfast, and it was really good. Had a western omelet that was excellent. Nice big cup of coffee, nice folks. Hard to beat a place like this. For some reason it was warm in the place, they had a big fan near the front door. I went to the restroom in the back... More

We have a summer home in Newland and can't wait for Summer, and to eat at Fabio's. It is by far the best place to eat in the High Country.

I had to write another review after reading a negative one about Fabio's. I really don't know what this person what referring to, but Fabio's truly prepares some of the best food in the High Country of North Carolina. We went to one of Fabio's "Wine Dinners" just last week where he pairs 6 courses with 6 wines for only... More

I had spaghetti, the place is supposed to be Italian. Terrible! The meatballs were gritty as if they had stone ground corn meal in them. It was cold and the cook was sitting outside smoking. Cute building, friendly waitress but the food was not good. Maybe other items are better

I am an almost local (from about 15 miles away) but had never ate here. I'd seen cars there and assumed it was good...but for whatever reason hadn't tried it until today. Yeah I'll be back...! We were heading over to Oktoberfest at Sugar Mountain and decided to try Fabios for breakfast, not wanting the usual quick McDonalds or Hardees.... More

Went with girlfriends to Fabio's on a night when wine tasting was paired with dinner. It was delicious and fun...a "must do" if visiting this area in NC. Reservations are required for this event.

Fabio is a terrific chef out here in the small town of Newland in western North Carolina (Avery County). We had the eggplant parmagiana and it was the best we have ever had - the "gravy" (marinara sauce) was rich and full of flavor. We also had the grouper - light, perfectly cooked with a creamy but light sauce that... More

It was New Years Eve and they were busy, but the service and food was wonderful. Very friendly atmosphere. Loved that it was locally owned by a family. Would go back again.
