Dinner was poor. It started off fine woith soup and tasty croissants. However, the grouper was topped with what was advertised as a "mango" sauce. I visited Morgan's on Halloween. IThe bartender knew her wine and food pairings impressively well. Also, I noticed the staff's outstanding teamwork. I was impressed with the friendly staff and customers. Although I was dining alone, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. I would like to return with my family and will recommend this restaurant to anyone. Great! more
I can see why this place is rated by the locals so highly. We had a lunch that was an entire half chicken as the lunch special for only $4.99. Not only that was a great price but tasted great. The sevice was top shelf. Will return. more
We try to eat at Morgans everytime we go to New Bern. The food is great and the service is friendly and fast. Prices are very reasonable. more

We selected Mason's based off of other travelers reviews and the fact that it was so close to our B&B. The steaks were cooked to perfection - they even waited for you to cut into them so they could make sure it was cooked to order. The beautiful restoration of athe historic building which houses the restaurant is worth the trip. The food is excellent and the desserts top off a satisfying experience. more
Had an excellent meal here. I had lasagna and salad - it was delicous and there was enough for leftovers. Saw some great looking desserts, although I didn't have room to taste any. more
My son and I had dinner at Morgan's on Saturday. We like to dine there when on our way to drop him off at summer camp. Our meal and service were very good and priced reasonably. The "fresh" grouper did not taste fresh and was overcooked. A medium cooked cheeseburger was burnt, dry and lukewarm. We returned the burger and should have returned the grouper. The bisque was way too starchy, and needed more seafood taste. It was a Sunday, perhaps the chef was off. We would not return. more
