I recently ate here with a friend for lunch. It is a busy place but we were seated fairly quickly and service was friendly. We were given plenty of time to make up our minds but not rushed. I ordered the chicken salad plate and that came with two sides. The portion was huge and the chicken salad was delicious.... More

We ate both a lunch and a breakfast at Bakers Kitchen. For lunch I got the hamburger patty with gravy, fried okra and their dutch potato casserole. While it was good, frankly, I expected better. The fried okra was wonderful. The gravy was good, but not "rich" and the potatoes were good, but nothing I wanted to rave about afterwards.... More

There seemed to always be a wait at Bakers, but once seated we were served right away. The biscuits were huge and flaky, the sausage gravy was creamy with lots of sausage, and the Baker's Dutch potatoes were just the best potato casserole I've ever eaten. The service was extremely friendly and prompt, definitely a family atmosphere.

These people make the best darn french toast I have ever had. Ask for extra syrup cause it is the butter syrup that will make your day!

We ate here today and were very pleased with the breakfast selections and the service! Looks like a place that the locals love to visit and sit and eat and talk with friends. Very comfortable setting. The menu is the normal breakfast fare plus many variations..with a few special items...the Dutch potatoes were delicious! The biscuits were large and very... More

Excellent food at excellent prices. Best breakfast in the historic district. Get there early so you can find a parking spot.

After talking to some folks we thought this place was the best in town, don't think so. Had breakfast which was ok. Plenty of food but cold when served which makes you think a lot of your food is precooked, meats especially. Over all just OK.

Hit or miss… It really depends on what you order. I had the pancakes and they weren't very good plus I didn't care for the butter syrup. The service wasn't that great either.

I might not have noticed had I not seen a line of people earlier in the morning waiting to go in. I decided after my trolley tour to check out for lunch. Breakfast served ALL day- plus a variety of other foods. I ate the French toast- recommended specialty. Outstanding plus they have pastries, desserts. If you do take trolley... More
