We went for a business lunch during the week. The first impression was poor - it reeked of cigarette smoke and the floor was dirty. The server, when she finally arrived, had her long hair loose and she kept playing with it while she took our order. It took nearly 40 minutes to get our food, and it was cold.... more

I usually love to eat at Applebee's, but it had been a long time since I had eaten at the one in New Bern. When dining there recently, I noticed it smelled bad, and the ladies' restroom certainly needed a thorough cleaning. Have been to Applebee's twice in New Bern and both times the service has been very slow and the food well below par. Our entree's have come each time cold, undercooked and before the appetizer.
