Good food

Friday's is kind of run down but the food is very reasonably priced and tasty. Excellent fried chicken and fish.

We have been here twice. Our first time was so dreadful we were sure it was an isolated event. Service dreadful, we watched the staff eat and shoot the breeze only a few tables away, while we waited over 20 min for cold, greasy food. We live nearby, love seafood, and the locals praise this place, so we tried again.... More

Friday's is an excellent choice for seafood in the area. The portions are nice and the food is always fresh. The price isn't ridiculous either. If you order crab cakes get the Maryland one, not the other. Hint-hint.

Friday's is very rustic but the food, primarily seafood is very reasonable priced. Also take out service.

really disgusting food. they must still be using the frying oil from 1890. the crab cake had no crab in it, and it was burnt.

Disgusting food. They must be using the same oil for frying since 1890. Could not see any crab in the burnt crab cakes we were served.

First time at Friday's and was looking forward to a nice seafood dinner. Rating was 94.5. Service was very slow, plus, for New Bern to be a coastal town, nothing on the menu was local. We were told all the seafood came from the Gulf. I don't get that. The cooked veggies are mostly out of a can---the server told... More

My wife and I were looking for good Calabash, NC style seafood while we were on the coast, and we found it here! Our hotel staff recommended this place, we read some reviews and determined that most of the bad reviews seemed to be from people either unfamiliar with Calabash style seafood, or for lack of a better word, snobbish... I've always had good experiences here. The waitresses are usually friendly but being a waitress in the past I know how to cut people a break when I can see they've had a hard time or are extremely busy. Usually the waitresses will cut you a break on the kids menu you just have to ask. The food is usually... More
