My wife and I were looking for good Calabash, NC style seafood while we were on the coast, and we found it here! Our hotel staff recommended this place, we read some reviews and determined that most of the bad reviews seemed to be from people either unfamiliar with Calabash style seafood, or for lack of a better word, snobbish... I've always had good experiences here. The waitresses are usually friendly but being a waitress in the past I know how to cut people a break when I can see they've had a hard time or are extremely busy. Usually the waitresses will cut you a break on the kids menu you just have to ask. The food is usually... More

We heard that they had outstanding food and decided to check it out. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is awesome. They bring you hushpuppies to munch on like how a Mexican restaurant brings you chips and salsa right away. The appetizer was awesome and my fried chicken was so delicious. My wife ordered... More

Good menu variety and the prices are decent, but the service was slow and several of our orders were wrong. The atmosphere is weird - little booths tucked around corners and even with that, it's very noisy. The salad bar looked weak, so I skipped it. Food portions were good, I have to say, and the free hush puppies were... More

My husband and I went here for a date night, and the food was great and so reasonably priced. The service was wonderful, we were so surprised! It is a hole-in-the-wall place that is absolutely worth checking out. If you want to get out with your loved one for a low-key delicious inexpensive meal, this is the place.

The hush puppies were the best thing for us. The fried catfish was over cooked and dry for being fried. The fried shrimp was medium sized and soggy like frozen shrimp would be. just didn't look very clean either.

We ate here on a Thursday afternoon; there were very few other customers at that time, but the service was definitely some of the best I've seen. While the restaurant itself is basically simple and rustic, the all wood interior was nice. We were immediately greeted, seated right away, and the server was there immediately to give us menus and... More

Well what can go wrong you say? Well hope about everything. Server can to take order and to give is the check..other than that we were left on our own. The seafood was something like you get from Capt D's...worst seafood dinner ever! Spend your hard earned money else where!
