Service and food are wonderful. Seating limited so go early (and often!). For lunch I had the BLT but it was soooo much more... It was a fried green tomato, perfect bacon, lettuce, and a seasoned mayo but not greasy at all. It was amaizing. Who knew a BLT could be so amaizing. We loved everything! Lunch prices very reasonable,... More

This is a small intimate restaurant, the food was outstanding, service was great. The menu changes all the time. If I had a complaint it is that it is noisy. I like to have a conversation when I go out to dinner.

What a menu! Very un-Southern creations with Southern notes. And exceptional Southern Hospitality! (Thanks Joe). Chef Scott is a treasure. Certainly the 247 Craven was one of the highlights of our trip to NC. Needs a wider wine cellar but then, you need the clientele to consume it !!

2-4-7 Craven in New Bern is a great neighborhood restaurant. We found this gem as we walked through the streets of downtown and decided to give it a try. WOW what great food and service. The staff was very accomodating to special needs and the food was excellent. Highly recommend if you are in New Bern, helps to call ahead... More

Sometimes you have high hopes so when your expectations aren't met it's a let down. I found that to be true here. The food is just not that special. The service is terrific, though and it's an intimate setting. I had the pork chop and it was very large and thick, but the sweat tea sauce was a little odd.... More

247 Craven remains the most innovative restaurant in New Bern....even when one of their dishes doesn't quite make the mark, you still admire them for pushing the edge. It's a destination restaurant and not just a place to grab a bite...although you can do that, too! If they're on the menu, be sure and try the oysters.

We had stopped in New Bern for lunch as we often do between our home and our usual coastal vacation place. We tried Morgan's but the line was too long and the sandwich board outside 247 Craven listing Thai sweet potato soup intrigued my husband. It is a very small dining area but neat without being too crowded. The waiters... More

Incredible chef, very fresh local ingredients, wonderful staff and ambience. Menu changes frequently, so there is always something new to look forward to when I come in town. Put 247 Craven on your must eat list when you are in New Bern.

I'll preface this by saying I am not a food connoisseur by any means. My husband and I enjoy watching Food Network and are always wanting to try restaurants that give us that kind of "omg, this is delicious" reaction the way we see on those shows (haha). Who knew there was such a restaurant so close to home? We... More

With 2 other friends from Oriental we revisited 247 Craven again on a snowy night--unusual for around here. The menu is small compared to other big restaurants with a couple of specials and 4 entrees--meat or fish. My friends dined on a nice piece of trigger fish and I had the grilled salmon--farmed I think. My wife had an appetizer... More
