This small restaurant in downtown New Bern has a pleasant feel, a nice wood bar and a chef who should be in a much bigger city, but those who live here really hope he stays. Ashley Moser is as creative with a variety of cuisines as any chef I have sampled in Raleigh, D.C., NYC or beyond. They serve lunch... More

Ate here July 4th weekend. Great menu. I had beef, wife had shellfish, friends had the special which was sea bass. Everything was top notch, from the drink selections to the sides (the mac and cheese was fantastic) and the entrees and desserts. And the service was impeccable. I just don't understand the negative reviews here. next time we're in... More

My girlfriend and I recently moved to New Bern, NC and we have been going out a lot to explore the town and finding local eateries and events has been a joy. A week ago (July 2014) we decided to try 247 Craven for brunch because we had heard they had a good one. So we decided to go since... More

Server spilled a meal off the plate onto the table and then proceeded to place the food back on the plate and serve it to us. Really?! Unprofessional to say the least. .

Very interesting menu. Food very good. Service great. Went for lunch. Almost same menu as dinner. They were happy to make some changes to their special to accommodate my wishes.

We arrived 5 minutes EARLY for our reservation and were told, without consideration, that our table had been given away and we'd have to wait 30 additional minutes. With two hungry children and hungrier adults we said no thanks.

About our 4th or 5th time here including the special wine dinners. Our meal (I had the tile fish special and my husband had the scallops) were both quite good (about 8 out of 10) but not GREAT (over the top). The food at the wine dinners IS over the top and what I prefer. We brought some first-timers with... More

Enjoyed a great dinner from an extremely creative menu. Excellent dusted oysters as an appetizer and then swordfish over and excellently prepared softshell crab as an entree. The swordfish portion was fairly small but nevertheless extremely tasty. Left room for the wonderful cheesecake. Great restaurant Will definitely add that to my frequent list.
