This a small quaint restaurant with a small plate/large plate menu. We had a table of six and they accommodated us well. The wait staff was very professional. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and his recommendations were spot on. The food was very tasty, from the baskets of warm bread, to the appetizers, to the main course.... More

This small restaurant has a limited but interesting menu that satisfies just about every type of diner. The food was delicious and the service was good. It's been awhile since we've been there, but we have had good experiences as a table of two and a group of a dozen.

Stopped in for late lunch. Place was crowded but they squeezed us in. The oyster po-boy was excellent. Fish taco's would have been better if they had been broiled instead of fried but still good. Will stop again when is the area.

We visited 247 Craven for an early dinner in August on a Saturday night. We arrived early ahead of our reservation time. The staff was warm and welcoming and seated us promptly. We were brought warm bread - always a plus! Our server recommended a nice wine to go with dinner. The food was beautifully plated and delicious. The grilled... More

Driving around New Bern on a Sunday morning looking for a parking place we found one right across the street from 247. The next thing we were looking for was a late breakfast. Brunch must have been over. Ordered off the menu. Basic breakfast. Bacon, eggs, grits, toast, coffee. It was good. Service was good. Will be back.

If you're near downtown New Bern searching for a place to eat, look no further. 247 Craven had fast and friendly service, delicious food, and was well priced. My co-worker and I stopped here for lunch while passing through New Bern and we both agreed it was an excellent dining experience. Tip: Thursdays at lunch the special is an open... More

247 Craven was recommended to us by friends of friends who used to live in New Bern. We're glad we tried it and would likely pay a return visit. Overall, the food was very good and our waiter was attentive. The atmosphere, a small dining room in the heart of downtown is generally what we enjoy and 247 Craven didn't... More

We enjoyed a wine dinner a while back and had a great time enjoying wine pairings with a very creative menu! We have eaten here a few times in the last 6 months and enjoyed the normal menu. But I recommend attending a wine dinner because Chef Ashley does a terrific job of blending his creativeness in the kitchen with... More

My wife and a young German friend visiting us all share birthdays in August and decided to have a joint celebration dinner. We have eaten here 3 times before. The service is still excellent and on an uncrowded Tuesday evening even better. We had 3 different fish entrees: scallops, bouillabaisse and salmon. All were paired perfectly with fresh vegetables grown... More

This small restaurant in downtown New Bern has a pleasant feel, a nice wood bar and a chef who should be in a much bigger city, but those who live here really hope he stays. Ashley Moser is as creative with a variety of cuisines as any chef I have sampled in Raleigh, D.C., NYC or beyond. They serve lunch... More
