We visited late one evening, fairly close to closing. There were only 2 other couples in the room eating. Our service was good; but wasn't what I expected for the price we paid to eat. We'd recently eating at another comparable restaurant and the expectation was fairly high. The food was good, service was ok. Cute small atmosphere. I almost... More

Went down for Mum fest and hadn't planned on eating here, passed by and smelled so delicious we decided to go check out the menu. Saw that it was brunch and sounded delicious so gave it a try. Must say, one of the best cheeseburgers I've had. Potato roll alone was worth the price! Chips were homemade and again, wow!... More

My husband and I ate brunch here on our first day in New Bern. The food was very good. It was presented well and very fresh. We wished that we had gone back for dinner one night but there were other places we wanted to try and our time ran out before we could get back there.

We've gone to 247 Craven on several occasions and the food has always been outstanding. It's pricey, but the portions are generous and the preparation is always interesting. Recently it seems the wait staff has matured and are more attentive to detail. Previously that was not always the case. It is a very small restaurant so if it's crowded -... More

This a small quaint restaurant with a small plate/large plate menu. We had a table of six and they accommodated us well. The wait staff was very professional. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and his recommendations were spot on. The food was very tasty, from the baskets of warm bread, to the appetizers, to the main course.... More

This small restaurant has a limited but interesting menu that satisfies just about every type of diner. The food was delicious and the service was good. It's been awhile since we've been there, but we have had good experiences as a table of two and a group of a dozen.

Stopped in for late lunch. Place was crowded but they squeezed us in. The oyster po-boy was excellent. Fish taco's would have been better if they had been broiled instead of fried but still good. Will stop again when is the area.

We visited 247 Craven for an early dinner in August on a Saturday night. We arrived early ahead of our reservation time. The staff was warm and welcoming and seated us promptly. We were brought warm bread - always a plus! Our server recommended a nice wine to go with dinner. The food was beautifully plated and delicious. The grilled... More

Driving around New Bern on a Sunday morning looking for a parking place we found one right across the street from 247. The next thing we were looking for was a late breakfast. Brunch must have been over. Ordered off the menu. Basic breakfast. Bacon, eggs, grits, toast, coffee. It was good. Service was good. Will be back.

If you're near downtown New Bern searching for a place to eat, look no further. 247 Craven had fast and friendly service, delicious food, and was well priced. My co-worker and I stopped here for lunch while passing through New Bern and we both agreed it was an excellent dining experience. Tip: Thursdays at lunch the special is an open... More
