Food when it did arrive was good. Blackened fish a bit over salted. Plan on spending some time there. Nice balcony overlooking sound. Would have preferred glass partitions were removable. Waitresses top notch.

My husband and I were introduced to the Lone Cedar Cafe in the summer of 1999. It has been an absolute favorite of ours since. We consistently try other places and they consistently don't measure up to Basnights. We dine here multiple times in a week vacation and then at least twice during the one or two long weekends! Once,... More

Went here for dinner with my wife and son. The server was not very friendly and seemed to rush us. She did not have much information about the food and the way it is prepared. Our table was infested with ants. The dinners tasted bland and were not very flavorful. Location is nice.

Please accept our apologies for a less than stellar dining experience. Poor service is unacceptable, and we will address this issue with our staff. All our seafood is fresh and local, and our chefs prepare the seafood in ways to showcase the natural fresh flavors. Many times, folks think this fresh flavor is bland, especially if they are not accustomed... More

Been going here for years when we visit OBX. On some trips, we go multiple nights. Love the atmosphere, service, and food. Some of the freshest seafood around (they even list the name of the fisherman who brought in the catch on the daily specials). Get there early and you'll get a good seat overlooking the water, which is great... More

We had a fabulous dinner. Three of us started with the jumbo lump she crab soup with sherry laced creme . Best I've ever eaten. One had the local shrimp tossed in buffalo sauce. Very lightly breaded & very good. One had spicy tuna bites. Calamari was shared by all. I had the tuna with roasted zucchini & Asian noodles... More

Loved every second. Great service from hostess to servers. Delicious, well-priced food. We will definitely be back and are planning to bring our entire family next year. A big thank you to our servers Jeff and Taylor - you made the evening!
