Got into town late afternoon and stopped here for lunch. The bright orange building almost turned me off to the place, but we went in anyway. Seated promptly and service was good even though it was late for lunch. I got the #7 lunch special (soft chimichanga) and hubby got lunch special #8 fajitas. We were both pleased with our... More

Excellent food, service, and margaritas! Order the Texas Margarita. It's the best. My favorite food item is combo #17 with a chicken burrito and a ground beef enchilada with rice and refried beans. Yum! Don't forget the fried ice cream!

We visited here for a break from our seafood dining during our vacation. Poor decision. We should have known when we saw the sign at the door that said "quality, service or price choose one" should have been a key to go elsewhere. We decided that service was not to be expected as it took several minutes to be seated... More

Really enjoyed the fish tacos. You just know when your meals are made with a Fresh catch & fresh vegetables and herb ingredients. I would absolutely order this dish again

I know, Mexican restaurant at the beach? We returned to Nags Head after visiting Ocracoke and just wanted something easy and tasty. One of the group suggested Mexican. When we pulled in I laughed, I had wondered who went to the bright orange Mexican restaurant on the main highway? Well, we did and I would again. When we walked in... More

If you're going to eat Mexican food on the Outer Banks then I would recommend this place. I've been to all of the Mexican restaurants down here and they have the best tasting food. My only complaint is their prices are a little high and they charge you for everything. For example if you order the fajitas they give you... More

Our large group of 12 we promptly seated and our server was on top of things the entire visit. We did keep him quite busy, but he was always happy and joked with us. The food was pretty much the standard mexican food you get anywhere, but it was a welcome change since all of us had been tent camping.... More

We were in Nags Head recently on vacation and got hit with a rainy spell so one day we wanted to get out of the house and decided Mexican would be good with 3 kids in tow since it is typically fast, good, and inexpensive. What we got was slow, bland food, but it was inexpensive. The beef tacos had... More

We have gone to most of the Mexican restaurants in the area over the years and just tried La Fogata (take out). The selection is great and typical of a tex-mex place - lots of options and combinations. Thought the quality was great - we loved the enchiladas, the tacos with shells that seemed like they were made on premises,... More

Not as pretentious as the other Mexican restaurant on the Bypass, but the food is well prepared and represents a very good value. Service is very good and I have never been disappointed in the quality or taste of the entree's I have ordered. I cannot say the same thing for the other Mexican restaurant in the area. When friends... More
