I think this place is over rated. My family had the fish tacos--weird seasoning with very little cabbage on a flour tortilla--far from traditional. Very bland beans and rice. I would not return.

Loved the fish Tacos! Hard to put my finger on it but those tacos were just really good! They have some healthy dishes on the menu as well. I have to say... those dishes there were tastier than the average healthy choices you might expect to find in other restaurants.

My family comes here every year on vacation. My sister swears by the fish tacos. I dig the coco loco chicken. We went on sushi night and enjoyed the Hatteras roll and the fried Hawaiian. The only complaint we had about the sushi is that the rolls were a little small for the money!

Get to Tortugas early if you want to avoid the crowds . With that said its still worth the wait even if its crowded. The tuna bites , jerked chicken and carib burger are all unique to Tortuga's and worth going three days in a row to try them all . Heck go every day and work through the whole... More

Food had ZERO flavor.. No seasoning and $18 for three fish tacos that were lame! Go to Mana Kwans instead!! Coco loco chicken overdone... Dry and BLAND!! No kids options for drinks except OJ ugh... Waitress with zero personality who seemed miserable to be at work.. Terrible experience... Way overpriced with awful food. Summer cooks must be on hiatus for... More

We went here on our last night of vacation, seemed to be a hoping spot. The food was great! I had the tuna special which had crab on it as well. Great flavors! We also ordered the conch fritters which were okay, just not our favorite. Only issue was our service, it was extremely slow and our waitress forgot my... More

We had dinner there 3 out of the 7 days and each meal was excellent! Would recommend this for couples to large families! I must go back!

It might be tough to get a seat but this place is worth it. I enjoyed a tuna steak sandwich and was well satisfied. YUM

Returned several times in our eight-day visit to the Outer Banks. It didn't matter what we ordered, it was all excellent. The wait time seemed to speed by as we studied the license plates on walls and ceilings. Our only regret was the weather was cool and rainy so we could not sit outdoors. Looking forward to returning for more... More

I would definitely recommend this place as a must stop if you are staying on or near the upper OBX of North Carolina. The food and service is very good overall, but the wait time can be off putting. Don't get me wrong, it is worth it and you can't really blame the restaurant for the wait time, you just... More
