We sat at the bar and I had the fish tacos while my husband had the fish sandwich. Both were perfectly prepared, great presentations, and the bartender was friendly and attentive even though she was busy. We love this place!

This restaurant is the best place I've ever been. I feel like I'm in a happy place no one else can ever be in. Where do I start? The scrumptious crab and lobster I can see in my dreams. All I want right now is a delicious crab leg with some oyster sauce drizzled on the top. Life here in... More

Given they were on Triple-D we expected a bit more. Conch fritters had very little meat and were gritty. Crawfish were some of the smallest I have ever eaten. Fish tacos were average at best. Wait staff was friendly and fairly responsive.

Fish Tacos, Caribbean Jerk Chicken, Steamed Shrimp, variety or beers in a beachy, dimly lit, welcome atmosphere! Worth the wait!

This place was supposed to be fantastic. But for us we were not impressed. Perhaps because we spent time in Mexico and felt this food wasn't authentic or as good as most other restaurants we have been to. Maybe we are harder on rating Mexican places because of our experience...so if you are not in the know of authentic Mexican... More

I can only assume that the name of our restaurant is to blame for the confusion. The name Tortugas comes from the Cayman Islands, which were originally named the Las Tortugas in the 1500's due to the large population of sea turtles. It is a Spanish or "Mexican" spelling, however our food is not. We do have some similarities, but... More

This is a hopping seafood grille and bar. We were on vacation and wanted to try it after we saw it featured on "Diners,Drive-ins, and Dives. It lived up to our expectations! The conch fritters were chuck full of conch meat and veggies and the fish burrito I had was huge! My husband had the flounder special and he did... More

Heard about Tortugas from a friend after it was featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The atmosphere was fun, the service was good and the food was very flavorful. Some in our party tried the jerk chicken that was featured on triple D and agreed with Guy Fieri -- it is excellent. People in our group had... More

We tried this place because my daughter saw it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was a very small place. We had to wait 45 mins at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. I can see why..THE FOOD WAS FABULOUS. The fresh tune sandwich was very tasty. We also liked the steamed spiced shrimp and snow crab legs. Great place to... More

You're right! A seafood restaurant across from the ocean doesn't run out of shrimp, unless they are serving fresh shrimp instead of frozen, then it is a possibility. If it's fried seafood and hushpuppies you are looking for, then I suggest you use your computer to check out a few menu's instead of writing reviews, then you would know that's... More

You can tell a good restaurant by the cars in the parking lot. This restaurant, which has been on the Beach Road for 20 years or so (the building has been there much longer), isn't much to look at from the outside (or inside for that matter) but the parking lot is always full. Was there a couple weeks ago,... More
