Went here to check another Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives off the list. One of my favorite meals in the OBX. Didn't have to wait long for a table, good beer, great food. Both the fish tacos, and the special (Crab Quesadilla) were excellent! Fun atmosphere, would definitely return here.

I have been to Tortugas twice before and only ordered the tuna sandwich specials for lunch. This year my husband and I went there three times ! I ordered a crab cake sandwich, tuna sandwich, and a special scallop dinner they had. It was all amazing !!! The price was a little high for dinner for the portion size but... More

Based on reviews I expected to love this place. I spent time searching for a great place to have dinner and I wanted to love it. Went around 5:30pm so there was no wait. We were seated in the noisy and cramped bar area, but were offered the option to move to a small booth once it opened. We greatly... More

After coming off a really disappointing experience our first night at ONX, we were skeptical. However, Tortugas Lie proved to be an excellent choice. I had the ribeye, perfectly cooked and remarkable flavor! My wife had the coconut encrusted chicken breast, equally enjoyable! We will definitely return here on our next trip to OBX!!

Probably the best meal we had on the OBX during our girls week. Overall "theme" is Caribbean - Bob Marley playing and beach/surf decor. We had White Garlic Pizza, Coco Loco Chicken, Cheeseburger, and the Baja Fish Tacos. All were excellent. Wait staff was attentive and very kid-friendly - at least half of the tables had kids. Nice selection of... More

My family LOVES TORTUGA'S LIE! Their fried oysters are awesome and their fish tacos are the best! Try their Thai style wings, too! Highly recommend this locals' favorite dining spot!

Our first dining experience of the season in Nags Head...looking forward to a Food Network place, but we were terribly disappointed. There was a wait, so I left my name & asked to be called in from the front door when the table became available. Well, we waited over 30 minutes and watched as at least 15 people left and... More

My hubby and I have eaten here several times, and I get the same thing every time and always rave about it for weeks afterward. Thus, I thought I would finally write a review. My husband orders nachos wherever he goes so we started with that plate of deliciousness. Real chicken, real cheese, and delicious salsa. My husband got the... More

Do yourself a favor. Eat here. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the OBX. It's fun and the food is fantastic. We didn't have a wait when we went (late lunch after Labor Day) but I think it would definitely be worth a wait. The waitstaff is very nice and efficient. The place is cute and not... More

Glad we made the effort to find this place - really enjoyed the experience. Small place with a lot of customers - plan to wait (45 min) but you can always get a drink and enjoy yourself. We tried the Coco Loco Chicken (recommended by a friend) and the Cayman Chicken (2 breasts with a garlic cream sauce, beans and... More
