Nothing special, but nothing bad. Decent food and great spot for little kids. Fried fish sandwich was tasty, but over done, hamburger arrived rare instead of medium and the stew was runny .. BUT ... everything was patable. more

Had lunch during a recent visit to Nags Head. The menu was good enough to satisfy our group of 6. Burgers, Shrimp, Nachos and Soup were all very good. Prices were fair. Service was excellent. The bill with tip was $105; good price for 6 people! more

We went to the bar the first night and it was the bartenders birthday and everyone loved him! He got tons of gifts and we felt like we've known him for years!! Always have a great meal and good service when we dine here. Friendly folks, and a local's hangout. The whole wheat pizza crust is really tasty. The burgers are awesome! more

I was a big fan of Bad Barracudas before it closed. When I saw Mulligan’s for the first time I dropped in for lunch. I was impressed. Read the reviews and based our visit on them. I don't know what choices these other reviewers have where they live but I will have to say that what may be "the best burger" on the Outer Banks may be considered average elsewhere. Mulligan's recently moved from its long time location (hole-in-the wall) to one of the most beautiful sites on the Outer Banks, the former Bad Barracuda building across from Jockey's Ridge. My husband and I visited Mulligan's just this past week (August 24th). We were looking for a good burger and noticed that Mulligan's burger was voted "Best on the Island". We went around 8:00 and were seated right away. (Very small restaurant.) I ordered a burger topped with crabmeat and cheese (a bit out of the ordinary, you might say).... more
