Awesome birthday at this restaurant ! The food was amazing . I had leftovers and the next day the flavored had infused and tasted even better if it's possible. One negative we waited at least an hour after our appetizers arrived for our main entree. The waitress was very apologetic and courtesy and probably a little embarrassed by the wait.... More

Teens got the kids steak. I asked the waitress if it was a good cut of steak with not much fat etc. She assured me it was. But both steaks had more fat than the kids liked, and they were disappointed. Adult meals were delicious, however. Would go again.

Karen our server was very friendly and efficient. Portions were large and tasty. We had steaks that were very good. The five ounce filet was closer to 10.

Come here whenever we come to the beach and the food is always great! Best crab cake ever. All crab and no filler. Ate in the bar area this time so no water view but the service was great. If you love fresh, local seafood you can't do better than this place. And the key lime pie and hummingbird cake... More

Our group of twelve was overall very satisfied, several stated they had never had better seafood. Lots of seating and able to accommodate larger groups. Apparently the Pina Colada was great. I had perfectly cooked fish. Simple but well prepared and matched sides. Excellent She-Crab Soup.

Its the third time we came... More

Always a great dinner at Tale of the Whale. Sometimes a wait for large parties, but there's a great gazebo for photos and often live music to enjoy while you wait. Lovely jewelry shopping also available in the lobby. We enjoy the dining room seating, but often sit in the large party room due to the size of our group.... More

We were a large party (8 adults, 6 kids, 1 toddler.) We called earlier to determine if we could get reservations for a large party. They advised us that they didn't take reservations but we could do call ahead and that they should be able to accommodate us between 5 and 5:30. We arrived at around 445 and were seated... More

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Enjoyed our drinks and entertainment in the Gazebo. When seated in the dining room, Tyler did a fabulous job of keeping us well served and happy! Highly recommend for a great experience! Ask for Tyler!!

We loved having music in the gazebo after dinner. The waiter was one of the best we have ever had. He was very pleasant and enthusiastic.
