Home style seafood, great beer selection

Have friends that live in Nags Head and they recommended the Red Drum. Daily seafood special usually excellent, always fresh. Not an expensive place and the food has been great the two times we have eaten there. Staff very friendly, great beer selection to go along with your traditional seafood... read more

I came here with my niece, and best friend and her son. The food was wonderful and our server was great as well. When I left I was verbally assaulted by one of their drunk off duty hostesses. I was not impressed. Nobody came out to stop her, nobody told her to cut it out...nothing. Just let her scream profanities... More

LOVED the crab cakes and tuna salad. Simply awesome. Entrees in the $25 to $29 range. Parking is cramped but the quality of food makes it all worth it.

Red Drum is one of my family's and friend's favorite 'regular' local eateries. It's a great place for lunch & the service is always great. Red Drum's Draft Beer Sampler is a unique way to try out a bunch of their draft beers for the price of just two 'regular sized' drafts. But if you then follow up with a... More

Red Drum is where I take my friends when they visit. The staff is GREAT! The food is fantastic. I love the steamed shrimp and mixed vegetables or the fish and chips or the tuna with lump crab meat, sour cream mashed potatoes and vegy medly! Oh wait the mushroom and swiss burger is the best on the beach as... More

We were married in KDH in May 2013 and during the week a group of 6 guys were getting fish sandwiches for lunch everyday from here just for the cocktail sauce! I went after the obx marathon this year and everything we had was wonderful the fish burrito, blackened tuna sandwich, and of course cocktail sauce! Great drink selection as... More

The mushroom swiss burger was delicious. I mean it had awesome flavor. I had a mahi over grits and shoepeg corn which was on the specials..it was very good. I believe everyone enjoyed their meals. Would go again.

During our most recent trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, we had planned to visit one of three restaurants that carried strong TripAdvisor reviews. They were all closed for the season or on reduced schedules. On our way back to our hotel, we accidentally located Red Drum Taphouse. Considering the relatively full parking lot (a good sign, especially... More

We stopped in at this joint because our first two choices had hour long wait lists and this place had pleanty of empty parking spaces. I was not expecting the local micro-brews to be so yummy. They were great! The food choices on the menu looked "so-so" but when our dishes came out they looked, smelled, and tasted far better... More
