Staying in Nags Head for one night, and asked the hotel staff for a recommendation. It was a busy Friday night, but a 15 minute wait was just that. Our party of 7 all enjoyed their meals. Most everyone had burgers. The Hatteras style chowder was loaded with clams, and a bit spicy. Service was good, many locals said they... More

We ordered the flounder/fish and chips of the day...it was very fresh and mild! And very hot out of the fryer when delivered to our table. While waiting, we shared a sampler of their beer...we selected all the lighter varieties and enjoyed them all, especially a Mother Earth and the spring ale!

Highly recommend this great little place in Nags Heads. Full menu, many kinds of beer, and tasty food. We had the fish & chips. Fresh flounder, lightly breaded and cooked so there was no greasy or oily taste. Served with great slaw and fries. Service was excellent with a knowledgable and friendly waitress. I was surprised to find pot stickers... More

This location was recommended by our hotel. The prices were a little high for the quality of food. My husband ordered shrimp and grits. The grits were undercooked, bland and dry. They do not serve baked potatoes. I got a steak. The smallest steak was 12oz. Steak was outstanding. Garlic potatoes tasted like they were instant potatoes. I asked for a... More

We enjoyed a great meal, the menu included seafood and sandwiches. The staff was friendly and the meal was a good value. It would be a good place to go to watch ACC basketball at the bar.

This location was recommended by our hotel. The food was good, but the prices seemed to be a bit high for the quantity/quality received. The bar area was a bit loud and distracted from the normal tranquility of a dining area.

Went to the Red Drum by the hotel front desk suggestion. When we were seated I was expecting bar fare, bot was I in for a surprise. My son wanted the "Fresh Stuffed Jalapeños" to start, from the first bite of fresh (not frozen-premade) pepper with the cilantro/green onion sour cream and chipotle salsa I knew we were in for... My Husband and I were taking an evening walk when we came upon the place so we decided to step in and look at the menu. We stayed and enjoyed a quick dinner and a nice bottle of wine. I had the steamed shrimp and veggies, he had a salad with grilled salmon, everything was very good. In fact we... More

Visited here on a Saturday night. Were told there would be a 15 minute wait but turned out to be only 5. We were told they would seat us as soon as possible which is usually just talk. At Red Drum they mean it. I had the cheeseburger and my wife steamed shrimp. Food came fast and was very good.... More

Several in our party were familiar with this establishment, which does not take reservations, but which worked with us to accommodate and serve our group of 15 flawlessly. The menu is wide ranging and all in our party seemed to be pleased with their selections. Prices are reasonable for food, and many varieties of draft beer are available at $5... More
