We went here after being totally disappointed by another local establishment the night before. The food was excellent, albeit not cheap. I wish they had prices on their online menu-we still would have gone but we like estimating costs ahead of time. The prime rib was excellent.

First time on NC outer banks and was fortunate to try Owens Restaurant. The menu is first rate and the food was even better. This is a first class restaurant that will not disappoint. We had seafood that was delicious and prepared perfectly......

Tried this the first time with my two sons (ages 4 and 6). Server was very good with kids and made me feel at ease. All meals start off with a cheese spread and crackers which was a big hit. I ordered the she crab soup (was a special that day) and it was good. I am not sure if... More

First time here. The moment I walked in, I said, Wow, this is like being on another planet. That opinion never changed. This is one of, if not the best, meals, ever. From NYC to Berkeley CA to NOLA. Really, this equals if not tops their best. I had jambalaya. Easily the best I've ever had, anywhere. Real roux base,... More

Very clean, formal setting but you can be casual. Our waitress was very friendly. Food was very good but like everywhere else a bit pricey for us.

I recently discovered this restaurant on the outer banks of North Carolina and was impressed with the ambience and food, which is reasonably priced. The restaurant is busy and larger than it looks from the outside. After going through the unusual entrance of a gift store, I found the decor warm and welcoming and interesting with its somewhat quirky displays... More

My wife and spent a couple days in the Outer Banks for our anniversary and found Owens for our anniversary dinner the evening of 24 March. It was off season so we were able to walk in without a reservation and it was not crowded at all. No wait. I am a bit old fashioned, so the rooms and the... More

The decor strikes you as soon as you step through the door. Dark wood panelling and lots of nautical themed nick knacks all around. The service was first rate and the food was very good. I had a great chowder and a crab, shrimp, scallop combination plate which was served with fresh vegetables and a mound of mashed potatoes--simple solid... More

Owen's is my favorite restaurant!! It is the one place I make sure to visit each year for my birthday. I love the ambiance of the restaurant. It's cozy and the staff is attentive and friendly. I love the crock of cheese and bread sticks. My favorite meal, although they are all delicious, is the stuffed lobster. It is magnificent!... More

Our family has been visiting OBX for 15 + years and Owens still remains our favorite restaurant. Walking through the doors feels like coming home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with historical artifacts throughout. Complimentary crock of cheddar and crackers is fantastic! All the food is excellent! I have never had a bad meal at Owens. A very nice... More
