Owen's has been a family favorite for many years! We usually eat here several times during our visits. Delicious food and great staff!!

We had visited the OBX including the Wright Museum (additional review) and were really ready to head for our hotel. My husband had read the reviews and wanted to take me to a good seafood resturant, so we wasted another 1 1/2 hours until they opened. I must admit it was worth the wait. I had grilled flounder which was... More

I had the mixed grill and both the steak and tuna were very over cooked. The rest of my plate; veggies, rice, and shrimp was fine but rather flavorless. My friend ordered a filet and the first one came out with a hair on it. They replaced it with a med-rare when she ordered med-well. Service was also problematic. They... More

The cheese and crackers are a great beginning. Their food is well-cooked, well-presented and always enjoyable. A bit pricey but we look forward to eating their every year.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Outer Banks in July 2014. After a long day of sight seeing, we decided to take the advice of many trip advisor reviewers and Fodor's (Fodor's Choice) to eat at Owen's Restaurant. We were a little skeptical when we saw the restaurant but decided to try it out anyway. The... More

My husband and I visited this establishment in June and the dinners were a major disappointment. My husband had a seafood platter that was served lukewarm. He felt it had been a leftover from a previous night's service. It certainly wasn't fresh fried. I order a lobster for $40.00 that was so tough I couldn't chew the meat from the... More

We had the best server, this place was really busy and she was happy and smiling and fast. We had our wine in no time and then the food came out. My Husband had a veal/crabmeat dish that was wonderful and I had the red snapper.

As a transplanted New Englander, I was suspicious about any other "chowdah" laying claim to fame to the cream-based delicacy. Owens has the best broth-based chowder, full of meaty clams, potatoes and spices. Their dinner menu is a testament to local seafood selections, all prepared well and professionally. Portions are large and can often be shared.

Went to Owen's with my hubby, son, and parents. This is a fine dining experience, with prices in the upper $20's per plate. Since my son and I aren't much into seafood, we got the filet mignon. Best steak I had in a long time! Seafood selections were also excellent, as had by the rest of my family. Portions are... More

We've been visiting the Outer Banks for a few years and always make it a point to dine at Owens' at least once during our stay. We were actually going to eat here later on in the week but we had such a bad experience at another restaurant we rushed right over and were well taken care of just as... More
