We ate dinner here on a whim one night. The staff was very friendly and our waitress was very helpful. I tried one of their specials (tuna on salad greens with a garlic strawberry dressing). It was amazing. The waitress made sure that I liked the dressing which I absolutely did! Would recommend to anyone who wants a great meal... More

Sam and Omies is a traditional stop for us when we are in South Nags Head. The restaurant is a morning meeting ground for local fisherman before they start their day. The food is excellent and the prices are not outrageous. The fresh tuna salad at lunch is perfect. we have never been disappointed with our meals here. You are... More

For a great beach breakfast this place is the ticket!! My family of 5 enjoyed omelets, pancakes (very good), biscuits and gravy - was all very good! Would highly recommend for your basic beach fare...

Dined here for breakfast each day of our trip. Excellent food each time. Great atmosphere and nice blend of locals along with the tourists. Will be back.

We've eaten here on several occasions, for breakfast and lunch. It is a popular place and well-deserving. Can't wait to get back!

They give more food than I can eat, its well prepared, delicious, lots of servers working and the service is excellent. I actually asked for tomato slices in place of hashbrowns or grits. They lady gave me the entire tomato, sliced on a separate plate. It was a huge tomato (about 4 inches in diameter). They do a very good... More

It can get crowded, but it's so worth the wait. Sam and Omie's is a tradition whenever we are in the OBX.

Not many tables so you'll probably have to wait to get in during the busy times of day... But once you do, the biscuits and gravy and hash browns/home fries are great! Good atmosphere and wait staff. The bar area was busy even in the morning so the mimosas/bloody mary drinks must've been good.

The good: Great location, classic OBX restaurant, very quick, clean, nice hostess The not-so-good: We had a waitress that wasn't friendly (not rude, but definitely not friendly). Our young child ordered a hot dog and upon taking the first bite, said that it was too hard to eat. It was so hard and stale that we could have used it... More

If you leave hungry, there's something wrong! This place has some interesting history of its own. While on the outer banks, I had asked some local residents where I might find a good breakfast the next morning. Everybody pretty much said the same thing, "None better than Sam and Omie's"! Well everybody can't be wrong! Small on size but BIG... More
