Great food and service

I had a waffle and my wife had the blackberry crepe. The waffle was good but my wife just loved the crepe. Kept the coffee cup full. Very good.

Is there any need to even sing the praises of this place? I expect it has an old timers fan base that will have you waiting in line at any given time. Old style and back in time decor and feel - If you want modern head elsewhere. Love that shrimpburger of their's!!

We stopped at the famous Sam & Omie's for lunch. It was a weekday, and there was only one other table occupied. The parking lot, such as it was, was deep dirt (no other way to describe it), and my shoes were filthy because of it. The restaurant looked shabby, but we were hopeful because of the many positive reviews... More

Very friendly place, waitress and locals. Stopped for lunch on the way back from Buxton, The Hattaras Lighthouse. Just wanted enough for lunch, not a full meal. I had 1/2 lb snow crabs and slaw. These were some of the best I ever had. Wife had a mahi mahi sandwich which she said was excellent. Then we both had key... More

Every time I visit the obx I have to stop here for lunch or desert. I enjoy the shrimp burger/sandwich and they are nice enough to make it the way I want which is a bit different than the menu listing. Good basic food like sandwiches and fries and nice deserts. Not the healthiest food in the world but once... More

We have visited this restaurant many times in the past and were looking forward to another visit. We got lucky, as they had just reopened for the season the day before we arrived! The staff was well-rested from their winter break, and everyone was friendly and excited to be back. My husband had the fried oyster sandwich -- loaded with... More

If you are visiting the Outer Banks for the first time you have to go to Sam & Omie's. This is one of the oldest & most famous restaurant's on the Outer Banks. It's nothing fancy, but it's really good, local seafood for a great price, and also a great place to stop in and have a beer or two.... More

Even if your hotel has free breakfast, take a day to purchase it here instead! You won't be sorry. My husband raved about this place until I finally caved one visit and now we go about 2 times during our stays (which usually last about a week or more). Love it! Honest engine: we actually drove down to OBX one... More

Hubby and I enjoyed a seafood dinner here, it was close to our hotel. I had the flounder and hubby had clam strips.. We both enjoyed our meal and the staff were attentive. I would recommend Sam & Omie's

Many places were closed for the low season but Sam & Omie's was open. The staff were friendly and took the trouble to explain their menu. We had a good hearty menu and good driving advise for the drive south.
