Fun breakfast!

We did have about a half hour wait for breakfast, but visited the bar where a very friendly bartender served up a great tequila sunrise! Once seated, our server was so good! She joked with us and made our meal enjoyable! The food is good-not amazing, but overall a great place! We always go back!

The crab & eggs benedict was good although not a true benedict as the the egg was over easy instead of poached. Lots of crab and the hollandaise was very good. Waffle was good but need some fruit or some accompaniment.

Take a step back in time and skip the modern chain restaurants. Sam and Omie's was fantastic! I had a great bloody mary (spiced just right) and breakfast (biscuits n gravy with eggs over-medium and sugar cured ham) was perfect! Food is like mama made it and the service was very friendly. I sat at the bar and did not... More

We went on a Sunday evening about 7. Parking lot was not full, but still had to wait for a table. Then another wait to get the orders taken. After 20 minutes the server came back to say they were out of the special so 3 people had to look at menu and re-order. Another long wait. Food arrived at... More

I was very optimistic about breakfast at Sam & Omie's after reading reviews about it. Sadly, after this trip I'll never go back there. The food was decent and well priced, but certainly wasn't worth the long wait. The service is the glaring reason I'll never eat there again. There were numerous people that made our time there seem rushed... More

We have been visiting OBX since 1994, and I think we have been to Sam & Omies at least 8 of those years. Some years, we have been several times in the same week. This year, no exception. Service: outstanding. Our server, wish I could remember her name, was lovely. She asked if we had just gotten to town (... More

We've eaten here before. Great sandwiches. Always a wait. Maybe with addition we won't have to juggle sandwiches on our laps outside. Many "to go" orders in front of us...no chicken salad a real disappointment. This is a very great sandwich shop. Love their unique sandwich combinations always fresh and fantastic.

We ate lunch at Sam and Omie's and was surprised at how good the food really was. We all had sandwiches and my husband had there soup. Pleased with all the food and the prices were very reasonable.

Visited for dinner, lunch and breakfast, all on different days. This restaurant is average. Service, food, and price is on par. It has a long and interesting history which the staff might highlight if there were not so busy. However, the place is always busy.
