Our waitress was excellent and the food could not have been better. The fish and chips were great, the fish was cod but it honestly tasted fresh and fried just right. The fries were okay, nothing really to write home about. The fried green tomatoes are a must!

So the lunch menu is limited unless you want Caribbean type food - so we ordered the barbecue - about $8 for the sandwich alone. The menu said your choice of NC or house barbecue sauce. The french fries were an additional $3. The bbq was delivered to the table and I asked for NC barbecue sauce. The waitress actually... More

We were recommended this restaurant and found it to be a very good experience. A varied menu and the wait staff was excellent and well-versed on the items. It has a "home town" feel and we liked that it is apart from the "beaten path" somewhat. Of course, the seafood is the specialty and we were not at all disappointed.... More

We decided on a whim, and encouraged by the offer of a free glass of Prosecco, to drive into the heart of Cheshire and visit the Nags Head for lunch Due to heavy traffic we arrived two and a half hours later! To find that the lunch service had finished and it would be an hour before evening service would... More

We visited Old Nags Head Cafe around 8 one evening. Despite the place not being very busy, the service was awful. Everything took a long time- the waitress to take our drink order, getting our food, refills, etc. The food wasn't bad, but I would not come back again.

We went for breakfast on a quiet Thursday morning. I tried the omelette and the pancakes. It was very reasonably priced and the servers were friendly. The portions were very generous and it was a lot more food than we expected. There was nothing special about the place but it did provide a nice atmosphere. Would return if I wanted... More

Went with husband and three teenage kids for dinner 6/17/15. Husband got the calamari for his meal which was flavorless with the exception of tasting like flour. It needed to be cooked longer and seasoned. I got the fried green tomatoes which were OK, the aioli was good that came with the tomatoes but again, flavorless batter. Kiddos loved the... More

First I would like to thank you for dining with us, sorry that you didn't like your appetizers as meals. Our calamari is very delicate and lightly seasoned so the flavor of the calamari itself isn't overwhelmed. It's also flash fried so as not to over cook it's delicate nature. You're probably used to having it served with a heavy... More
