We recently visited the Brine and Bottle on our vacation to Nags Head. I had the crispy duck breast and it was quite delicious. However, it was about 7 bites and for the price I would not consider that to be an appropriate portion. I ended up sharing my daughters pb&j sandwich and still left hungry. Another point to note... My newlywed wife and I went here after a sunset cruise on the first mate's recommendation. We were not disappointed! Not that hungry, we shared the bacon jam (amazing!) and the gazpacho with lump crab meat (even better!). They have jars of bacon jam to go, along with other delicacies, so I'm sure we'll have to go back to get... More

Brine & Bottle is a marvelous stop on the Outer Banks. We dined outside on a beautiful summer night overlooking the Sound. Service was excellent and the food was fantastic. We began with the Bacon Jam, which was unusual and incredibly tasty. We followed with the Fried Green Tomatoes and the House made Mozzarella, both of which were delicious. We... More

We decided to get away from the group for awhile and enjoy an evening all to ourselves. I had seen Brine and Bottle on Guy's Diner's show on TV and thought we should give it a try. Our table was on the outside deck which overlooked the sound which set the mood perfectly. We started off with the fried green... More

This was our first trip to the Brine and Bottle, and we will definitely return. The restaurant specializes in creative daily fare, including numerous small plates that are perfect for sharing. We started with the fried pickles: thinly sliced, breaded, and deep fried pickles that were delicious--a perfect balance of flavors, with homemade buttermilk dressing chock full of fresh chives.... Stopped by for a look-see and stayed for a glass of wine and a few small plates. The location is out off the causeway between Nags Head and Manteo, but worth the drive. Try the Bacon Jam with Saltines, the Fried Pickles with Ranch-Chive Dressing, the Chicken Liver Pate or the Shrimp and Grits. All worth the cost. And the... More

We were fortunate enough to enjoy some great food and excellent service again here. All while sitting outside enjoying the water. Keep in mind that this is not a cheap place, but it will be one of your best meals in the OBX. Order a lot and share.

Sorry guys, I just wasn't impressed with your restaurant. But you can't please everyone, thats why there are millions of restaurants. Didn't like the atmosphere, too staunch. Food tasted pretty good, but I'm one of those people that are not impressed by fancy visual food with liquids drizzled over them. Anyway, it's worth a try, we all have different tastes.... More

Saw this restaurant on Guy Fieri host of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives so we figured we'd check it out. Boy, were we not disappointed! Deck dining overlooking the sound cannot be beat! A menu that changes regularly and is chocked full of local seafood delights. It is a bit pricey for the portions but you won't be disappointed. Pretty good... More

The Brine and the Bottle is located in a nondescript "shopping" arcade on the Nags Head to Manteo causeway. It is small and recommendations are usually necessary to dine inside. The menu changes nightly, although several items seem to be regular items on the menu. The food is up-scale gourmet and the portions are generally small. We have dined here... More
