Our group of twelve went here because the wait was shorter. Blandly seasoned broiled fish. All average at best. They do have some nice water view table for sunset, but many others with no water view at all. Fried seafood choices are probably better at this place.

Fresh fish or not, when you go to the beach and you want seafood, it better taste good. If it isn't fresh and one is going to charge $27 for a seafood platter, you better not be able to tell the difference. The seafood was either not fresh or overcooked. The shrimp was fine, but everything else was too greasy,... More

We were all extremely disappointed with our experience today. The broiled seafood platter had zero seasoning or flavor, the steak had a fishy taste, and the piña colada was disgusting (it was actually a little spicy which is quite perplexing). Out of 7 adults there was only one meal that was considered edible only because the bland fish was masked... More

The only better view of the Albemarle Sound would be from a paddle board. However, it is difficult to eat Shrimp and Grits while paddling! This is a great place to enjoy the sunset and some great seafood after a long ride to get to North Carolina's Outer Banks. The prices are reasonable, but the service and serving sizes are... More

Always looking for locally owned restaurants - we spotted Sugar Creek while sitting at a traffic light. What a treat! First, the owner was one of the staff who greeted us most enthusiastically. We sat overlooking Roanoke Sound in a nice, quiet dining area. The waitress was very pleasant. And the meal?? We ordered lunch as we had planned a... More

Best Seafood Quesadilla I've ever had! Awesome, and quick service too. Crab cakes were very well put together. Meaning actual crab not a lot of filler, and from a local that means a lot!

Our family has come to OBX for the last 10 years and this is the best restaurant we have found. Great food and great service compliment the wonderful view of the sound. If you get the chance ask for Monica with a "C". She was fantastic.

Great food & service. Servings more than adequate for the price. Server very knowledgable and helped with the selection of fried oysters. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I took my daughter out for lunch after a quick trip to Pea Island for shells. It was just about lunch time on Saturday and we weren't sure if there would be a wait or if we could get parking. Lucky us--we were able to secure the "last spot" in the lot--(this would be my only real... More

Small outdoor dining area, so we had a an hour wait, but we did get to listen to some live music while we waited so it wasn't a terrible wait. Parking is limited! The server was friendly, but a bit slow. We ordered appetizers--the mozzarella sticks were served with half of the cheese missing. Th potato skins were good and... More
