This place has the best seafood! Wonderful fresh fish and great shrimp and grits! Also very nice variety of salads to choose from. Service is great especially if you sit at the bar for dinner.

The Blue Moon is a lively grill frequented by tourists and locals. The beer selection on tap was great, and the wine selection very good. Menu choices range from a great burger or pulled pork sandwhich to more gourmet, ie, outstanding rack of lamb, or mussels in a garlic, cream, bacon blue cheese sauce. All of which was excellent. Desserts... More

We've been trying to get in here for weeks. Today was the first day that we were able to get a table on a Saturday night with only a 30 minute wait. I'm not complaining about the wait as a busy restaurant, especially in a beach town in the dead of winter, is clearly a sign of a good restaurant.... More

Thanks Donny.............I am glad that you enjoyed your meal. It doesn't matter where you eat, if the fish is fresh, and you are at the beach, its hard to beat that dining experience. We are sincerely glad you chose us for your fresh fish. I know waiting can be a pain sometimes. Since you hung in there and made the... More

Whenever my Wife and I travel to Nags head, N.C. we always plan on having a meal at the Blue Moon Beach Grill. The menu changes every so often, as to keep a larger variety of food items, so it's not always the same. The "Beach Burger with Fries" is my favorite, and when it's available, the "Clam Chowder". No... More

The food is absolutely amazing...and the staff is great! The scallops appetizer is the best I've ever had. In all my travels...this is my favorite restaurant thus far.

Yes, the scallop app is one of the most popular dishes on the menu. The seared scallops, the bed of seaweed, and the kick it up sauce compliment each other very nicely. We are glad you enjoyed it. Also, please know that we appreciate your business and taking the time to write a nice review. Here is to an easy... More

Traveled up from Hatteras all the way to nags head about an hour drive to eat at Blue Moon and have a few drinks. Was not disappointed. Having been there many times before we knew it was worth the drive. Just like 99% of the locals down here that make this place a must stop for lunch or dinner when... More

Your review is greatly appreciated! Yes, our staff is just the best. Hands down, the best. Chef Nate rocks the line, and Jessie is awesome behind the bar. Thank you for giving them a shout out. And most importantly, thank you for trekking up the sand from Avon. When a local makes that kind of an effort to eat and... More

We found this restaurant by accident, but sound up eating there three times in our week-long stay. Amazing food. Loved the Mahi BLT, and daily specials of swordfish salad, and char grilled wahoo with beet risotto and kale chips.
