We went to Kelly's in late June after it had been recommended by many locals. However, upon arriving, we were shocked and disgusted. My husband and I walked in to the hostess stand and before they noticed us, we heard one hostess explicitly tell another not to sit black people in a certain area of the restaurant. We were absolutely... More

We came here for some live music and to relax one night during our trip to Outer Banks. It was recommended by locals. But we definitely enjoyed the vibe and the live music (with Pebble to Pearl- the lead singer can sang). Met the owner and his wife who were both nice. Had a chance to play some pool. Later... More

This is an up-scale restaurant that is divided into several different rooms and levels. The service was good. The food was very tasty. I had the Fillet Mignon which was tender, juicy, tasty, and cooked just the way I ordered it. The employes were helpful and friendly.

I was a little disappointed with Kelly's Restaurant. I was expecting more after reading the reviews. We went there because it was not busy like many of the other restaurants with good reviews. Our waiter was nice and the food was good. My crab cake was very good but some of the others in our party of four said the... More

On a busy summer weekend we made reservations and were glad we did. The wait times can be an issue. Our party of 7 ordered Oysters Rockefeller, Soft Crab. Gulf Shrimp and three salads. The only plate that wasn't cleared was a salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Our entree's were Bouillabaisse, Whole Steamed Lobster. Tile Fish, 8 oz steak and crab... More

I've been going to Kelly's since I was a wee one... and it's always amazing. The atmosphere is killer and the food/service rock. Noshed down on some Jerk Tilefish last week and it was killer! Get their homemade dressing on the salads and ask for xtra sweet potato biscuits! Great Oyster specials in the offseason too. I love how Mike... More

Visited Kelly's twice during our trip to OBX. We liked the friendly faces, service, and good food so much the first time, we decided to return. Of the six adults, we all agreed on the return visit. If I had to nit-pick, I would say that their service level declined noticeably at the end of both visits. But even at... More

This reviews an individual's meal within a greater family order. I had a pre-dinner Cosmopolitan, the Gulf shrimp appetizer, shared a calamari appetizer, the clam chowder soup and the salmon dinner. Ordering the cosmo, I was asked if I wanted olive juice and an olive. When reminded, they corrected themselves. The Gulf shrimp were ovetcooked; a bit chewy and the... More

Our group (11 diners) visited Kelly's because it is one of the few places in the Outer Banks that you can order late night food. When we arrived, the tavern doormen asked us to pay the $5 cover but when we explained that we planned on eating, they informed us there was no charge, though they didn't act very happy... More
