From the outside, it doesn't look like much. Then, when you walk it, it's part gift shop, part hostess, part history of Herb. Once you get past the no frills look of the place, be prepared to be treated with friendly southern hospitality and delicious food. We had the ribs and a pulled pork sandwich with a piece of pecan... We found this place today, we had fish, seafood & ribs which were all awesome! Salad bar was very fresh and outstanding service from all of the staff, will definitely eat here again if we are in the area!

On a recent trip to Cherokee we passed Herb's Pit Bar B Cue and decided to stop for lunch. We were glad we did. I ordered the sirloin tips with baked potato and salad and my husband ordered the pork barbecue with potato salad and slaw. The salad plates are very small so be aware if you like a big... More

This was an overall great experience starting with the fresh well stocked salad bar. We had prime rib and I requested the "end cut" and found it to be very delicious, spicy and flavorful. The baked potatoes were well prepared and the chocolate sundae dessert was most wonderful but almost too large a serving for two people. We have heard... More

AWESOME!! is all I can say. if these guys weren't over 4 hours away, we'd eat there practically every day. Brunswick Stew is fantastic. the BBQ is so smoky, you don't need any sauces. service is super friendly. the 1 thing you need to know: they aren't immediately in Murphy. they are several miles west on US 64, about 4... Got an order to go (full rack ribs)....got home and was shocked at the burnt and dried out product. Call and complained ...indifference....Then mailed pictures of the product to the owner/manager...explaining the reason for my dis-satisfaction..have not received any reply...The worst experience of a business not responding to a real complaint. I want a refund ..I drove 26 miles to... More

Waited 25 minutes for our food even though they were not busy. When we finally received our food, the ribs (which are supposed to be their speciality) they tasted old and reheated and the sides were skimpy. Had to wait for everything, even had to go find someone to pay our check. I was so looking forward to some great... More

We are on a bit of a BBQ trip at the moment and made the journey to Herb's. We were not disappointed. We tried both the sliced brisket and chopped pork and both were very good. The sauce is vinegar based, which suited the lightly smoked meat very well. Hush puppies and beans were good also. The restaurant was busy,... More

My wife and I have eaten here a few dozen times over the years. First the down side...their wait staff and hostesses are generally young and for many it is their first job in the hospitality field. Because of this, it may take an excessive amount of time on occaision to get seated or even receive your order. Nothing that... More

Herb's is a great place with great food in my opinion, as well as a nice atmosphere of workers. However, what stops my family and I from going there is that it takes so long to get seated. They need to come up with better arrangements and a better process of getting people in and out in a timely manner.
