Maybe we should of guessed since we were the only customers that it might not be good, but we gave it a shot anyways. The food just wasn't good for us, maybe its the style of Mexican food or something. The place was clean and the staff was pleasant.

Large portions, great chips and salsa. Fast (really fast) service. A hidden gem in the hills of North Carolina.

As another writer noted, the correct name of this place is Las Palmas. Also, as most others reported, the interior is sure not fancy, and probably turns many people away before they have a chance to have some of the best Mexican food in the tri-state area of NC/TN/GA. We have eaten at most all of them in all three... More

Hole in the wall Mexican but good food and price. Chips and salsa was delicious and bottomless. Enchiladas Supremas was yummy but a little smaller then expected. We had $1 Dos Equis in frosty mugs. Place was empty Sun at 8pm.

We were surprised to find an authentic Mexican restaurant in Murphy. The restaurant is small and doesn't look like much from the outside. But the food was fresh and well prepared. We both thought it was some of the best Mexican food we have eaten this side of the border.

Had a nice meal on a Sunday evening when traveling through Murphy on our way to Asheville. The buffet was tempting but we weren't that hungry so we split an order of tasty chicken fajitas. Reasonable prices and great food. We'll be back!

We only stayed in Murphy one night and I chose this restaurant, I wish we had gone somewhere else. It was nothing special and the place itself was quite run down. When we checked out a child that couldn't have been more than 8 years old was running the register.

I'm a little confused on the name. It's listed in most places as "Las Palmas." We ate here on our way back from Asheville, N.C. After searching GPS for a Mexican restaurant, we came across Las Palmas. It's a "little hole in the wall," but the food was some of the best we've ever had! The chips were fresh, crisp,... More

This is the worst Southwestern Food I have ever tasted, the food was greasy and tasted like it was made two days before. Sauce was terrible and had the worst vinegar smell to it, I wondered if it was spoiled, we would not use it because it SMELLED so bad. This is what I call BAD FOOD and the service... More

A small restaurant on Tennessee Street where many new eating establishments have opened in the wake of Murphy residents voting to allow beer and mixed drinks to be served in restaurants. Booths along one wall and tables in the center; sometimes a wait during busy lunch hours. There is an extensive menu featuring the usual Southern Mexican restaurant fare as... More
