We just returned from dinner at Antica Roma Caffe - full of good food and very happy that we went there. Dinner is offered only on Fri and Sat nites, and reservations are recommended. The dinner menu was presented orally - four entree choices. We had shrimp scampi and veal parmegiano - each with a wonderful pasta accompaniment - and... More

We arrived at 6 pm with 6 people. We were turned away at the door saying if you don't have reservations we are full. This wouldn't have be so bad if there weren't 7 empty tables I could see from the front door. I asked the host if she had any suggestions and she said I don't know maybe the... More

My husband and I make a special trip to Murphy just to eat here. The owners are from Italy, so the food is authentic like the kind I have eaten in Italy. Carla, one of the owners, makes authentic Italian cookies, tiramisu, cakes, etc. She even makes some gluten-free bakery items. Guiseppe, her husband and owner, is a master at... More

This is my favorite place in my hometown to eat. The Panino Caprese is my favorite sandwich, and it's just like eating on the Mediterranean. I buy loaves of their bread to take home to eat with the meals I prepare. Desserts are great too. The staff is always friendly.

My daughter DRUG us in here for gelato, and we really came to like it. The food is most excellent, fresh, and tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are good. We have only done the lunch, but I hear that dinner is excellent as well. Rodney Field

We haven't been for dinner, which is when they do a full italian meal, but we were very happy with our sandwiches (on fresh, crusty, Italian bread) and the pasta fagioli soup was excellent. For dessert we had a canoli, which was also fantastic. Service was very friendly and accommodating to my family of 6. We'll be back...definitely try some... More

the food is not plentiful but fresh and authentic. Great sandwiches on wonderful crusty bread. Great place for lunch while browsing the quaint downtown Murphy area

Antica Roma Cafe has the best of everything. From the delicious crepes they offer for breakfast, to lunch offerings such as the prosciutto panini and pasta fagioli soup, to dinner specials (offered on Friday and Saturday nights) such as the butternut squash ravioli, the food is of the very best quality. Dessert here is mandatory--it's much too delicious to pass... More

The best restaurant in Murphy. Outstanding Italian sandwiches and salads. Homemade soup in the winter that is truly *to die for* and the desserts. Nothing compares to Carla's homemade cookies and desserts and oh, the Nutella crepes! Lets not even talk about the chicken and eggplant parmigiana or the homemade meatball sandwiches. Amazing. It is the best of the best... More
