Happy to see the D'Abate's back in South Florida. Before heading north to Murphy the D'Abate's owned and operated Cafe Roma, which became a local institution. As i have just read the review in Murphy, I wanted to let their fans know that they have opened the Antico Caffe Roma in Pompano. It appears that their son, Marco, is at... More

Antica Roma Caffe' closed their doors on January 25th after serving their delicious dinners that night. They were the BEST and CLEANEST restaurant in Murphy, North Carolina. Everything they served was of the highest quality. They did not skimp on any of their ingredients. Most everything was made from scratch from their Italian breads, cakes, cookies, dinners, soups and gelato's.... More

We love Antica Roma not only for the superior cuisine, but for the personable family who owns it. We live in Murphy, and we frequent there for authentic Italian food. We take all our family, including our Italian family, and friends there when they visit Murphy. When they do come again to visit they always request to go back. Dinner... More

Had the Panino Di Prosciutto and my 18 year old son had the Panino alla Caprese both were amazingly good. I would recommend them for lunch any day.

The barista here, who also seems to be the owner, is excellent. Stumbled upon this café while looking for a place to check email while in town for a few days. Came back three times, twice for coffe and once for lunch. Good paninis. Didn’t have time to check them out for dinner (by reservation on Friday and Saturday evenings),... More

It is sad that Antica Roma should get a number 1 review from a visitor out of town. Just because there are empty tables, it does not mean those tables are not reserved. Each and every table at Antica Roma has the patrons names placed on it. How sad that someone can come in just one time and give an... More

In a mountain town like Murphy, NC we did not expect the quality we had at Antica Roma. The food was home cooked to order, fresh and delicious. We had the veal parm. and the chicken parm. Both were tender, moist and seasoned perfectly . The portions were right on and the service was top shelf as well. The chocolate... More

Mamma Mia- what a delight to eat at the Antica Roma Caffe! We enjoyed lunch so much we returned two days later and had their breakfast. Desserts? Don't even get me started on how delicious they are! They are still wiping my saliva off the display case! What a great story about this Italian family coming over to open a... More

Iincredible meal. Started a little scary because the waitress appears and spouts off four entree with no prices. With each meal you got an appetizer and salad and aside of pasta. I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had a chicken dish in lemon wine butter sauce both dishes were outstanding. The Caecer salad was probably the best I... More
