Nice steak house

Food is prepared deliciously, prices are a little high for a small town. Wait staff is friendly. Go for lunch, better prices

Recently dined at Murphy's Chophouse, was in town due to business wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. We hit the jackpot from the moment we walked in! The hostess was friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, with beautiful presentation! But what really made our evening was our fantastic server "Ariel"! She was very professional, attentive, friendly & knowledgeable of... More

The service varies depending on who is your server. Some are very good, some can be rude. One particular person by the name of Dave, is excellent.

The Chophouse is an excellent place to eat IF you aren't on a strict budget. It is a little pricey but then again it is an upscale restaurant and you get what you pay for. The atmosphere is nice and it is in the center of the heart of the town of Murphy. I'm not sure if they still do... More

The Chophouse has excellent meals and good service; however, it's a noise place where it's hard to hear your diner partners. We live near Murphy and have dined there thrice ... noise was always an issue if seated inside.

My wife and I enjoy our weekend adventure trips. This weekend brought us Murphy, NC. We started with Portobello mushrooms that were prepared to perfection! My wife had the She Crab Soup and Appalachian BBQ Beef Spring Rolls. I had the Prime Rib French Dip and both entrées were simply amazing. This is a definite repeat!

When this restaurant opened, we were initially given the pitch that the owner/head chef cooked for The President (Clinton to be specific). Granted, he probably did, it still makes no sense to move from a presidential gastronomic cooking lifestyle to cooking for us mountain folk in a very small town situated in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains The grand... We were driving through Murphy and wanted to have lunch. Looked up options on TripAdvisor. We decided to eat here and were not disappointed. For an appetizer, my husband and I had the Mozzarella Lollipops which had a light flavorful batter. I had the French dip sandwich and he had the burger and we split them. Of the two we... More
