We haven't had a bad drink or meal yet. What's good? Throw a dart at the menu. Whatever you do - stay away from the Chophouse in Hiawassee - but Murphy is a gem. Make sure to sign up for the email specials - you will get weekly digests of their special offering. Well worth the read.

First time at Murphy's Chophouse. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Made reservations about 2 hours in advance. Jeff was our waiter and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our steak topped with crabmeat was very good. Dessert was peach bread pudding with vanilla ice cream- super, followed by excellent coffee. We'll be back.

This was our first time eating here and the food was great. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable about menu and friendly. Will definitely return on our next trip.

My husband and I vacation in Murphy a couple times a year. On, our latest trip we stopped at Murphy's Chophouse and had dinner. It was Sunday night & very busy, but our server did a great job of meeting all of our needs. I ordered the Bison Burger, which is very awesome. My husband ordered a ribeye and was... More

Early on a Thursday evening we enjoyed wonderful ribeye steaks, sides, drinks, and desserts. Excellent service, casual but elegant.

OMG!!! I cannot express how good my dinner was at Murphy’s Chophouse. If you are ever in Murphy you must have dinner there. I for my appetizer had crab cakes. My second course was Caesar salad. Last, main course was salmon, snap peas, and backed sweet potato.. With every bite I all I could say was OMG this is soooo... More

Our family of 5 was in Murphy after whitewater rafting on the Ocoee. We were looking for something other than fastfood for dinner, but it was already 7:30 on a Sunday evening and there just weren't many options. We found the Chophouse. We were definitely happy when we walked in. The restaurant décor was beautiful and inviting. The staff was... More

Stopped in an Saturday evening with reservations in place. Service was average but the food and price was not. Steaks were thin and proportions were light. Nice atmosphere but not worth the buck.

After a long day on the road, we were looking for dinner about 7pm on a Sunday. Murphy's Chophouse was one of the few restaurants we found open since we really didn't want fast food. Salad was just the right size, didn't think garbanzo beans would be good but they were. Salad dressing was phenomenal. The pepper crusted steak (and... More

When we first got there, it was a little empty, but quickly picked up. Out server was so sweet and hilariously funny the whole time without being intrusive, I could've went back every night just for her! The food was also very good. My husband got a Caesar salad with the BEST homemade dressing on it! I'm dreaming of it... More
