Stopped in for lunch and had a great, inexpensive meal. The wife and I shared a large BBQ plate which had some great pulled pork, hush puppies and slaw along with a few fries. Each had a sweet tea and shared a home made banana pudding. All for under $15. Can't go wrong.

Great food. Great service. Great prices. The staff was friendly and helpful. During our 2 week trip we visited several times to try many items on the menu. Aunt Bea's was never a disappointment no matter what time of day or night. We highly recommended!

Decor was wanting, as was the quality of food. We ate there two different days just in case we hit an off day...no such luck. Portions were small, and lacked taste. Would not go again, and wouldnt recommend to anyone...very dissapointing.

I personally strongly dislike NC BBQ, but my husband loves it. Said this was an excellent place to eat. I had the 'Saturday Night Special' sirloin, which was very good too.

We enjoyed everything in Mt Airy except our experience here. The town should take this off of the visitor's map. The cheeseburgers we ordered (and couldn't eat) were hard, over cooked, and no thicker than a piece of paper). This is definitely a fast food place, but McDonalds or Burger King would be considered gourmet compared to this place. Very... More

I am sorry to say that I can't give Aunt Bea's a good review. I try my best to be fair. With a name like Aunt Bea's I expected home cooked meals like Aunt Bea made on the Andy Griffith Show. I wanted a piece of pie, cake or some other delicious dessert. They had ice cream. You can get... More

I can't comment on the BBQ, but this was terrible for breakfast. My scrambled eggs with cheese tasted like BBQ and the hash browns were hard as a rock. This is located in a former Diary Queen and looks and operates just like one. You order, then sit down and are called up when it's ready. The grits were runny.... More

My husband is from eastern NC & we know our barbecue. The pulled pork was incredible - best we have ever had anywhere (besides our own kitchen!) It is shredded perfectly, seasoned perfectly and is SO MOIST AND TENDER - OMG!! So glad we stopped in!

We ate dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning. The food was awesome and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend if going through Mt. Airy.
