This was the place that everyone recommended. A good family restaurant. When traveling, I like to try locally owned restaurants instead of chains. I would definately go back. We ate the filet mignon. Cooked to order, very tender and tasty. We ordered the grilled onions and fresh mushrooms as a topper for our steak. Should have left off the onions... More

You can tell how successful a place is by the parking lot, it was full but we got seated right away. Grilled Tuna, Sushimi grade tuna rolled in olive oil with lemon zest was our choice, just seared and melt in your mouth... a yummy choice and we will be returning. Thanks Taylor for the excellent service.

Been there many times and the food is always top notch and the service is great. Everyone is always friendly and very attentive. Ribs are excellent, steak is mouth watering, from the chicken to the crab cakes, you always leave with a smile on your face.

Several locals suggested 13 Bones for our evening meal. As they warned, parking was limited but seating was available. We had the crab cake special with sweet potatoes and the grilled flounder. Both were delicious. The waitress was so friendly and stayed on top of our needs. Prices were good for the food. Facilities were clean and inviting. Just a... More

I had barbecued chicken, slaw, and baked beans....it was perfect. The meat was tender, the surroundings were great, friendly waitress....the only complaint I can think of was it was a bit cool in there. Other than that, the food and service was good, and the price was right. I highly recommend this place...just dress warm.

Wanted some good local food on a one-night stopover of a longer road trip.Mt Airy Visitor Center suggested 13 Bones. Good call. Not fancy but a nice atmosphere. Appeared to be populated by locals. It was the crab leg special night and there were a lot being served. I chose the ribs with the NC/vinegar based sauce. Very good! Ample... More

On a recent trip to Myrtle Beach, SC, me and the Mrs. stopped for the night in Mt. Airy, home of all things Andy Griffith! While there, we went to 13 Bones. We walked in a little after 5 PM on a Friday night, and were greeted and seated promptly. By the time we left, roughly an 1 1/4 later,... More

The service was fast and delightful. The food was well-prepared and came out in a short amount of time. The food was average - not anything stellar, but also not a bad choice. Just an average meal. Lots of locals so it seems to be a favorite.

No frills no gimmicks but offering a good steak and a nice local glass of wine for a very reasonable price. Service was very good too.
