Little diner in town famous for Pork Chop sandwich. Sooo good. Small town atmosphere, friendliness, and basic breakfast and lunch menu. A Mt Airy "Must do." Hours are limited so don't miss it.

We ate here three times during the Mayberry Days festival....and it was great all three times....you need to get there very early during festival time to make sure you can even get in. The PORK CHOP SAMICH was the BEST!

This place is a must if you visit Mt Airy. It's just part of the Mt Airy experience. We have to eat there at least once every trip. Breakfast and lunch are both very reasonable and good. The pork chop sandwich is in a league of its own. The Snappy Lunch is a very unique place that's just a part... More

Snappy Diner features a pork chop sandwich. Get it all the way for a good lunch. Others got Andy's lunch, a hotdog, and favored it as well. Cool place if you love Andy.

Stopped in for a quick bite while exploring Mt. Airy and enjoyed the Snappy Lunch experience. Everyone else had burgers or grilled cheese, but I went with the pork chop sandwich with all the fixin's. Very good sandwich. I'd stop in again if I find myself in the area. Drinks, chips, and the burgers/sandwich came out to less than $21.00... More

I have to admit that I am a huge Andy Griffith show fan. I am happy to say my first visit to Mt. Airy and the Snappy Lunch did not disappoint. There were four of us and three of us got the Infamous Pork Chop Sandwiches loaded as they should be. Delicious. The service was excellent and you cannot beat... More

I ordered their famous pork chop sandwich and it was delicious as the wife had a cheeseburger. Add a bag of chips and two soft drinks and the bill was under ten bucks. Excellent service as well, very attentive.

We had stopped for an overnight rest in Mount Airy and got up the next morning with the idea of having breakfast downtown in one of the quaint eateries and then perhaps checking out some of the stores in this wonderfully historic place. We had learned online that the Snappy Lunch was one of the oldest diners in the downtown... More

We wanted to eat lunch here since it was considered part of Andy Griffith's childhood. They offer their specialty which is the pork chop sandwich. We didn't have one but I saw them and they were huge! We got a burger, which was cooked earlier, but was ok. Server was nice. If you want a part of nostalgia, stop here.... More
