Mmmm Good

Had to stop in Mt. Airy (Mayberry) on the way to Pennsylvania from St. Augustine, FL. After walking up and down Main Street, wee had brunch at Snappy's. It was too early for lunch, so we didn't get the pork chop sandwich. We had breakfast- which was very good. It was crowded, but we got seated... read more

I was so excited to finally visit and try Snappy's for lunch, but was a little disappointed. 3 of the 7 of us ordered the famous pork chop sandwich sans chili and slaw -- just lettuce, tomato and mayo. While the pork was good, we were not a fan of the breading that it was fried in. 1 ordered the... More

They have a very limited lunch menu, but that doesn't matter--you HAVE to have their award winning pork chop sandwich--have it prepared all the way including slaw--I'll guarantee you've never had anything like it. It's been awarded the State Sandwich by the North Carolina State Magazine. Don't worry--there's no bones in it. Fast friendly service. I think they close by... More

For you people who put your nose up at good food: good food is food that taste good and doesn't matter if it's on a plate or wax paper this does not take away from the food! I like the way they serve it, it's different and I love the pork sandwich. I love simple tasteful food and you get... More

Old time diner and feels like your back in the 50's. Worth the stop for lunch. Friendly staff and it feels like your in Mayberry having lunch. The diner is just a stones throw from Floyd's Barber Shop!

Now consider this is a 'hole in the wall' great lunch place when passing through Mount Airy! Hubby and I love to visit Snappy's for a pork chop sandwich all-the-way. And we don't normally eat bread or sandwiches. Worth a visit!

Went to Mt. Airy to take the kids as they love Andy Griffith. Had to stop in Snappy Lunch. The building is old and not much to look at it. Of course they have Andy pics all over. My husband and I had the pork chop sandwich, and as most people have said in the reviews, it is pretty good.... More

The pork chop sandwich is amazing! Mine came out fast and it was hot and fresh. This restaurant is also a great value. They say Andy Griffith himself used to dine here. This is a great lunch stop.
