If I could do zero I would - yeeesh

Trapped in the sterile RTP corridor. Hoping to find a meal on a rainy night close to the Sheraton in Durham. Had a bad feeling about this place but reviews were decent so I have it a try. Cutting to the chase - for $38 had a very sad thin gristly rib eye. A poor rib eye is a sad... read more

This is not a place most of us can afford all the time, but it is definitely worthy of those special occasions or that nice place to treat business associates. The filet special I ordered had to be one of the best steaks I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The atmosphere is formal, but not at all stuffy. The... More

We haven't been to the Chop House in quite some time because they had made some menu changes a while back and also the service/quality had dropped off. Well, I'm glad that my brother encouraged me to go back because they are back on track. We went the day before Valentine's Day. I was really hoping for the rack of... More

Ate here twice this past week. I had the same meal twice as I loved the taste of the cowboy ribeye steak. Nice atmosphere - wood panels, green walls, quiet as well. This is not a cheap restaurant as the steaks ran in the high 30's to upper 40's. Appetizers our group had consisted of calamari, shrimp cocktail, sushimi and... More

The Capitoal City Chop House many times and the food is always been excellent. The services is always superb. The menu is a bit pricey but well worth the money. I've taken several businesses associates there and they are felt the same, the food and service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you were in the Raleigh-Durham... More

This restaurant is off the beaten path, but a good find. The steaks were tasty although they didn't seem to be high-heat seared such as you get at the large upscale chain steakhouses. The cowboy cut ribeye had great flavor but was more lean than I'm used to, and I'm sure that's a matter of taste. The crab bisque was... More

Last evening two waitresses collided and broke two wine glasses. The glasses shattered like an explosion. EE gave us new water and beer, wiped down the tables but should have comped our meal. Food and waitress great but manager should have overseen compensation to customer.

I thought this was going to be a very expensive restaurant but the prices are fair. Restaurants like this are normally a la carte. The menu here includes either a soup or a salad. The soup is a whole bowl and the salads are huge. I had the salad with the fried oysters which ordered a la carte is alone... More

This restaurant has existed a while and the food is amazing, well worth the money and one of my favorite go-to's. There are times the service leaves some to be desired but the food makes up for it. The interior and decor tell it's an aged (but in a well maintained way) restaurant and the bathrooms though clean, have a... More

Another great evening at the Chop House. I had a business function last night and the food and service were great.
