I've lived in Raleigh for 5 years and had never heard of this local restaurant tucked away off Aviation Parkway..Boy am I glad my girlfriend picked it out for a special date night. I've had steak in restaurants all over the country, including some of Chicago's best. Capital City Chophouse is every bit as good. It was far better than... More

As per the title, menu is way way over priced! The food is ok, but for that price expectation are much higher!!!! Deco is like out of date and feels very dark, green, old style. Not my choice of steak house Staff where nice ;)

My husband and I visited Capital City Chop House for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. In the past, we frequented Sullivans. We hesitated about breaking this tradtion but decided to try "something new". I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass (which I also order at Sullivans) and my husband ordered the Cowboy Ribeye (which he also orders at Sullivans).... More

I had the special they were offering for the evening - prime rib with baked potato and salad for $25. My steak was tender and cooked to perfection...even the presentation was impeccable. My waiter was exceptional - attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. Nice atmosphere in which to relax after a busy workweek.

This is one of the nicer restaurants in the area and very near the airport and the nearby hotels and shopping mall. I would not quite rate it as a Ruth Chris or Palm experience, but the food is well prepared and presented. Also, it will not be as expensive as one of the higher-end steakhouses, but it will not... I have eaten at the chop house before and the meals have been on and off. I ordered the sea bass and when they were out, the waitress recommended the salmon. The salmon was so well done and tough it was black. I wouldn't expect that from a restaurant that charges 37 dollars for a meal. I will think twice... More

I eat there about every 4 weeks or so with business associates from out of town. It's one of the places they really prefer. The food and service are always excellent. Always wait for the specials and more often than not I end up with one of them. They do an outstanding job on all their steaks. If you are... More

For an early weekday dinner we stopped in and were seated in the bar area, I guess because we did not have reservations. My filet was done perfectly but the creamed spinach could have used some nutmeg. My dining partner had 2 fluffy crab cakes, but the red pepper and filler caused one to be left on the plate. Wine... Waiter was really kind and food is excellent. I tried lobster ravioli, and was a perfect choice. It is a very quiet and nice place to meet with friends or to do business meals.
