Good BBQ, I especially like their beans. Restaurant is really busy during lunch. My suggestion is to be there around eleven am or one pm.

First of all, the lady (whose name I failed to get) at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful! I told her it was my first time in, and she suggested the sampler and I'm glad I listened. It came with a large rib, 2 wings, pulled pork, brisket, hush puppies, and another side (I chose mac and cheese). All... More

Had lunch at Smokey's yesterday and it is exactly what a BBQ joint is supposed to be like. It is a non descript place on the side of the road with seating for about 30 so expect to wait at busy times. Their BBQ was really good but the brisket was a little dry. I'm not a fan of plastic... More

Somewhat disapointing. Small place, but kind of fun and funky. I had the pulled chicken but it was dry. Friend had ribs and they were ok but fatty. Good news was that the sides (Brunswick Stew, cole slaw & Baked beans) were excellent. Reasonablly priced

A buddy of mine said, after visiting here "what a concept - get a smoker and put some picnic tables out back and you have a great place!" They do a nice job here. Open only during lunch, and it's popular. Even with the line out the door, though, it can move pretty fast. This is a popular place with... More

This is a great place with great BBQ meats and really good sides. Our dining group spanned the choices in meats and sides. Pulled pork was particularly great, but others loved the chicken pieces. The beans are unique and very tasty; the sweet potato tater tots and the mac and cheese and slaw were all very tasty. We went later... More

After driving past Smokey's many time, we visited it today after ready the Trip Advisor reviews. It sure is a unique place and the basic BBQ fare was excellent. I ordered the beef brisket and my wife had the shredded chicken sandwich. Both were well prepared and very tasty. Smokey's is located very close to the airport hotel strip and... More

The lines are worth the wait. The pulled pork sandwich is great, the hush puppies are awesome and I loved the beans. One of the better BBQ places I've ever been to.

I was in NC for a work trip and did not have time for BBQ. On my way to the airport I googled BBQ places and a few came up. I picked Smokey’s because they had fried okra. The line was long and the place was packed. In no time I was up at the counter ordering and got my... More

Sloppy, yummy, huge pulled pork, brisket or chicken sandwiches. Also, ribs and traditional sides. Bonus: sweet potato tator tots. It's a "shack", so don't expect much for atmosphere ;) It's good ol' fashioned cookin'. They have a walk up counter and self seat after getting food.
