Decided to try even after some of the negative reviews. Came here as a kid and teenager many years ago. We got there little before 5 pm and line was starting to form. Noticed 2 of the kitchen staff sitting out back smoking which doesn't present a good image. Got seated right away once opened. Waitress was friendly. Food was... More

This is the worst food I've ever had. Service was horrible. Vegetables served actually taste like a can. Portions are small and the prices are high. Everything tastes the same. Save your money!!!

The locals recommend we eat here. It's a small town and and it's a modest family owned restaurant. Everyone who eats here seems to know one each other. The menu is reasonably priced and the food varies based on what's in season. We tried the flounder, fried shrimp and one the kids ordered ribs. The portions are very decent, they... More

I took a guest for a evening meal, really wanting some fried oysters. I was not disappointed! Very good portions, well prepared with friendly service. Very deceiving on how big this place is, Los of room, if parking lot is full, probably still plenty of room.

There are better resturants. They are high priced and serve you in cafeteria dishes! I spend less and eat much better at riverside

We stopped in T&W on Hyw 58 Just North of the bridge going to Emerald Isle at Cape Carteret...NOT Morehead City..It is worth the trip. Our oysters were fresh, local from the Newport River. They were very nice sized. We sat at the bar and they shucked them for us. Hushpuppies came with the oysters, butter and homemade coctail sauce.... More

It is said in the service industry you can demand: Low price, Great Quality, and fast turnaround. BUT you can only receive TWO of the three for the service provider to stay in business. Went to T&W Oyster Bar; sort of in the middle of nowhere. The kind of place if you drove by you probably would not stop because... More

Let me start by letting you know that this place is not in Morehead City. It's much closer to Swansboro, but it's actually out in the country. This was the week of our annual fall fishing trip. I wanted my husband to experience a "Down East" old fashioned Oyster Bar. I found this place. If you are from the South,... More

My husband and I were looking for raw oysters, but unfortunately we were a few weeks too early. We visited in late September and were told that the fresh, raw oysters would not arrive until mid-October. We shared a she crab soup and the steamed mussels, which were both decent, but definitely not the best we'd ever had. For dinner,... More

The address had me mixed up. It is not in Morehead City. It's actually north of Swansboro on hHighway 58. I think it is north of Peletier. I'm beign a stickler foor directions as it is easy to drive right by. it is in the sticks! I like this place. It's old timey-- form the mid seventies. The prices are... More
