A friend recommended we take a meal in Moorehead City when in the area. Trip Advisors gave this great reviews and I concur. An unusual place with great service and terrific food. We had the shrimp burger, fried cheese cheese burger (yeah, it's not for the lactose intolerant!!), hot ham & brie sandwich, and mahi mahi special. All we enjoyed... More

Our family had Thanksgiving Dinner here this year and we were very pleased. Our service could not have been better. Our parents are of a wiser age and being seated upstairs would have been difficult if it hadn't been for our wait staff. They immediately picked up on our needs and suggested "family style" to us and then they proceeded... More

Great gourmet southern comfort food, and ambience. Lunch and dinner menus are wonderful. Located in an old 2 story home, they make you feel at home. The staff is friendly and efficient. I rarely save room for dessert, but they tempt you with a wonderful tray of home made desserts. We always have a meal at Floyd's when in town.... More

Wow, Wow, Wow!!!!!!!! What a night and what a special time. My wife and I searched high and low in Beaufort, Morehead City and Atlantic Beach NC for a restaurant to accommodate approximately 50 guests for my son and future daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner. There were multiple places available but there was only one that from the start represented themselves with... More

Located in an older home, there are some drawbacks. Once you get over the older home smell, the tables are all set with cloths and service follows atmosphere. The food is a mix of traditional and North Carolina and the wine list is reasonable. We enjoy the fried oysters on the pear salad as well as have enjoyed soups, other... More

I've lived here for seven years and I just found out about this place. We had friends come from Virginia and had dinner here. We sat outside in the bar area, and what a nice patio. Nice bar with two gas burning fire pits. We had fried green tomatoes which were awesome. The simply fish was grouper and it was... More

Courtyard looked inviting but others in party chose to sit inside. Off-putting smell when we first entered, could use air freshener, but didn't notice after first 5 minutes. Food was very good, everyone enjoyed. Service not bad, but not as good as other places in the same area.

Have eaten here several times and had the chance to eat outside at new seating area and bar. Great atmosphere, good bartenders. Food was excellent. Shrimp grit cakes and happy sticks were good. Husband loved the oyster & sausage gumbo. Will continue to keep this in our vacation dinner rotation.

It is a block or two back from the main drag but well worth it. I have eaten here on several occasions as part of a group, and they have always done a superb job with service - multiple menu choices with separate checks for a few dozen in a group. Excellent food, nice atmosphere, very professionally run.

I live in Morehead City and eat at the restaurant frequently. I have never been disappointed! They offer special menus for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Mother's Day, among others. They have such a great selection of desserts that a group of us sometimes go there for dessert only!
