It can get a little noisy but the food is always great. The wait staff are very friendly and prices are moderate. One of our favorite places to go ...especially for oysters in the fall and winter.

I enjoy many of the menu items at this restaurant. During oyster season they have an all you can eat night. The fish is always fresh off the boat and cooked to perfection.

Sammy and his sister Doris are two of the friendliest people we have had the pleasure of meeting. The restaurant is easy-going, welcoming, clean, and parking close and convenient. Good food and drinks. Fresh seafood and plenty of choices.

My husband and I usually visit this area at least once a year and have usually dined at a restaurant across the street. This year we decided to change things up and gave Sammys a try. When we entered we were seated right away and our server was quick to take our orders. We started with the crab dip which... More

I have written 2 reviews of this restaurant in the past three years, and it is refreshing to find nothing but improvements! The food is outstanding, the service prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is quirky and friendly. We were graciously welcomed by the manager, and she checked several times to make sure that we were pleased with our experience.... More

We walked in on the bar side of Sammy’s and sat right down. We had a new lady to serve us. She was great for her first day. We had a couple of draft beers plus water. The hushpuppies and the little squares of corn bread were great. We had a peck of steamed oysters and the guy shucked them... More

Near the water with a view of a sound is a great casual restaurant. I had read the mostly good reviews and decided to try Sammy's. It was off season but they were open. I generally don't award excellent for casual but this place deserved every accolade. We were seated and offered water; did not have to ask. Next Megan,... More

The scallop sandwich was delicious. The staff was very friendly. If you eat oysters you should give this place a try. The staff shuck fresh oysters at your table. It is a very casual and fun place.

My wife and I went to Sammy's tonight to celebrate our birthdays and 33rd anniversary. After being seated and ordering, I asked the waiter his name...it was Sam, the owner who personally made sure our evening was perfection. He produced extra large oysters for my wife and had some fresh tuna cooked to perfection. The artwork in the restaurant and... More
