A really gourmet Italian restaurant. Excellent Italian dishes as well as steaks and seafoood served in an upscale, relaxing atmosphere.

Caruso's is one of the best restaurant experiences ever. And I have traveled the world. The bartender knows what a Negroni is, the chef's northern Italian specials are super and the service is professional. What's there not to love. This restaurant has forgotten more cuisine than the French ever learned. Sorry for gushing. The restaurant is that good.

if this place was in a big city it would die on a vine. In fact maybe it already did based on the old musty velvet curtains. Ok, the food is good, I do agree. But how about opening a window or something and let the light in. The waiters are professional but COLD and arrogant. The chef is a... More

My DH, sister and I were in the area at lunchtime and scanned the web for a decent place to eat. We were not expecting anything great, but I can't believe you'd get anything less at Caruso's. We were all three take aback by the atmosphere, the service, and most of all the food. What was supposed to be a... More

Surprises like dining at new restaurants are unpredictable. Checking Trip Advisor for a restaurant near where we were stopping for the night, we thought Caruso's sounded promising! Reservations available on Saturday night were early or late - good sign! We found it sandwiched between a pizza place and a bakery in a partially occupied strip mall - not a good... More

If you are comparing with the other burger / ribs joints in the region, you may consider this upmarket. Sorry, but fine dining it is not...Good food yes, but not fine dining... Bit more style than substance. I have eaten much finer foods for the same price range...

My wife and I chose Caruso's on our kid free weekend visit to Lake Norman not knowing what to expect. The restaurant had the perfect amount of romance and casualness to dine at for any occasion, but it's all about the food! Wy wife had a salmon dish while I enjoyed the special of the night ( veal chop), and... More
