This place has bugs everywhere on the ceiling and walls even had a lizard in the women's bathroom....ugh so nasty.....And don't even get me started on the small amount of food you receive for the extremely HIGH PRICES.....

It would be so easy for this place to make a lovely dining experience. It's clean and the food isn't bad. (It's pretty much the same stuff you'd get at your average beach dive.) In fact, I thought the hushpuppies were among the better ones I've had, though they could still use some de-greasing. But the service might as well... More

I am impressed with the freshness of the seafood. I am from the coast, and it is hard to find seafood this fresh so far inland. It is like a local Cheers bar where everyone knows your name. I wish they actually had butter instead of spread, but I just use fresh lemons on the seafood. Overall, a surprisingly wonderful... More

Let me start by saying I love Huey's and love their oysters..but service we had last night was about the worst of the worst...We arrived 30 minutes before the oyster bar side opened and since we were hungry and tired from a long drive we decided to eat on the restaurant side knowing we could get the steamed oysters, wings,... Being from New England, I shouldn't have had high expectations of the seafood. Cannot comment on the oysters, but other seafood . . . shrimp and scallops were awful. No seasoning and very bland. The prices are high and the service wasn't very good. Won't be back.

My parents live in the Mebane area and I come to this restaurant every time I come to visit. I must say this past visit was one of the best that I have had. My son who is 7 said, "Oh my gosh! This is delicious!". Here's the thing...We eat out a lot and my son will tell you exactly... More

We liked the fried oysters. I am glad I chose the 1/2 dozen of the raw oysters instead of the dozen . They were ok but I think I was spoiled since the only raw oysters I had were last week in Baltimore, MD. Very large glass of wine for $4.75-great price. Restaurant has recently been remodeled and now very... More

I was on Mebane this week, and knew of Huey's from a visit some years ago, I decided to go back the other night. A business associate joined me, we had an OK meal but certainly no complaints. We both chose oyster stew, the oysters were nicely cooked, not so much that they were tough, but the broth could have... More

The wife and I ate steamed Oysters at Huey's a couple of weeks ago, we were very pleased with what we got & the service was excellent! Our last visit was so good we are heading back up tonight, 30 min drive each way for us but well worth it!
