Once more in North Carolina we encountered what seems to be a fairly widespread Greek method of presenting seafood. Whatever fish the Captain's Galley offers as "flounder" may be, it bears no relationship to the beautifully prepared and cooked fresh flounder we experienced at another restaurant. This time we chose what was described as Canadian Flounder, and we were very... More

Horrible experience. They recently reopened under the name Captain's Cove, and it is awful! I had fried scallops for dinner. When my plate arrived, the scallops were swimming in a vat of liquid. I am not sure if it was oil or what but it was nasty! When I cut into the scallops they were RAW! I love sushi but... More

The breading on the seafood was so light and crispy. There as a large selection on the menu and it was delicious.

Over the years it has been a good place for some good 'ol weekend fish dinner. Great for larger groups. If you go somewhere enough, your gonna hit a bad night. Stopped by 2 times in the last month, 1st stop, very good, hot, great service, but there was only 2 other tables occupied?? Guess that was the sign, by... More

My family has been coming here for years. We love the food. I have tried broiled salmon at restaurants all over the US and I have never found any better than here -- and the price is incredibly reasonable, esp on Thurs evenings when salmon is one of the specials. We know the wait staff and the owners and we... More

It's been a while since we've been here. The last we went went was good. The salads are good, the fish is good, the hushpuppies are better than most places, and the tartar sauce is the best. The service is real good with ample seating. The carryout menu is excellent with very good portions.

Greasy fried food with no knowledge of what sustainable, environmentally friendly seafood is.
