The view is amazing, the space beautiful, eclectic, staff just what I would hope for; food was GREAT. Get a burger, yes I said burger, you will be amazed! We had just spent a week at the beach, ate fairly expensive seafood, but a family member said theshrimp was better than what we got on the coast. Get out of... More

My husband and I went to Maggie Valley for a short 2 night weekend stay. We arrived into town around 2:30 on a Friday afternoon. When we entered Maggie Valley we noticed that most of the places were closed. We were not sure if closed down for the season, closed for the time of day, or just out of business,... More

On a joint vacation with 6 adults, 4 of us went for a drive on our last full day there. My husband and I have been here several times. I love this place the decor, the country feel is just wonderful. The food is good and the price is very good. I like to eat on the screen in porch... More

seems to be an old lodge or log home converted into a restaurant perched on the side of a mountain! Beautiful view of the mountains while you have your meal. Food was good down home cooking and employees are very courteous. Thanks!

On our way out of Maggie Valley, we stopped to eat breakfast at the Mountaineer. We had not been there on our previous trips, so we decided to give it a try. We were the only customers that early Sunday morning, so we really got rock star service. On our server's advice, I tried the pancakes. Stupendous! After we ate... More

The outside of the Mountaineer Restaurant looks like a comfortable cabin. You walk inside and there is a nicely going fire with inviting seating. We sat at the window sit with a wide mountain view. The customer service was nice and friendly. We had their chili cheese fries and grill chicken. The portions were good but the food was not... More

The Mountaineer is a quaint little restaurant in an old historic house. I remember eating here with my parents as a child. The view from the dining room is amazing. We ate there on the first snowy day of 2012. We were one of the first few people in the restaurant that morning and the lady running it was still... More

A million dollar view from the time you go to bed till you wake up. The restaurant has great food friendly staff and visiting with other diners was fun. The friendly cat will walk you back to the cabin and entertain you on the porch. A great place to home base from, close to Blue Ridge Parkway. Convenient to all... More

We stopped for a late lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant is in the back section of a unique mountain gift shop. Our server was a delightful person with interesting tales about the area. We both had a blue cheese burger special. The burger was so big we could have skipped thr fries. Reasonably prices and delicious- a good combination.... More
