Just down the hill from the Soco Gap exit on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Maggie Valley, the Mountaineer Restaurant is a great spot to stop in for a meal while admiring the views of the Smoky Mountains. Friendly staff, a great view, good home cooking, and a nice little bar make this a nice stop on your travels. More

The crew at this restaurant was fantastic, they gave you great service at a great price food was the best on the parkway, and the view from the tables was breath taking. All this was offered at a price that anyone could afford, it is well worth your time to stop in! More

My meal came with Cole Slaw (had a stainless steel food processor blade in it that I didn't see and I broke two teeth) and I ordered Hush Puppies (which were left in the cooking oil for 30 minutes and were served burnt). Other than that the food seemed ok. Won't go back though. In spite of the fact I... More

My husband and I went to Mountaineer Restaurant for dinner tonight. The waitress was super friendly and didn't even seem to mind when we asked to switch tables. They let me make a substitution to my meal with no extra charge. The onion rings were good and plentiful. My husband had the open faced prime rib sandwich and it was... More

It was a pleasure to meet you Steph! The food was GREAT! The view was wonderful! They also have local handmade crafts and lotions... More

We stooped in this restaurant for breakfast, and boy did we get a lot more than we bargained for. A gift shop, a great view, the fire was crackling and the scenery was beautiful. Our server, Bobby, attended to us quickly, and was very courteous. He kept our coffees topped up and brought out our breakfast out exactly as we... More

We had the special of the night, blackened Prime rib! It was really good. Our other friends ate homemade meatloaf and grilled trout! Everyone raved about the food. Our waitress, Jennifer, was pleasant and very informative of the area. She directed us to see the Elk and visit the Wheels Through Time Museum. We did both, and what treats! The... More
