best waffles and pancakes

Food was delicious. We waited about thirty minutes to get a table, but the restaurant stayed packed. We had pecan pancakes, waffles, and biscuits and gravy. One of the best waffles I've had. A great southern style breakfast. Our niece and nephew loved it!

Without a doubt Brenda, the owner, and her staff have the best place for breakfast in all of Haywood County. If there is fresh fruit on the menu it will be the best you ever tasted. I try and go there often during my summers in Maggie Valley for the country ham --- just always so good and the fresh... More

Food is delicious; prices are good. Like the fruit pancakes. The lines for getting in to the restaurant are, though, are too long. Winter hours are too restricted. Need to expand to more days of the week.

When I'm in this area I always visit Joey's Pancake House. The proprieter, Brenda, is wonderfu. The staff really make you feel at home and they keep checking to make sure everything is just right. Their hash brown cassarole is marvelous and thier French toast is done to perfection. Best place in town for breakfast. A word to the wise:... More

We are there TUES & WED of this week & would have eaten there today THUR, but they were closed. Waffles, pancakes & bacon to die for!! Best blueberry syrup ever! Grits were even delicious!! During the busy season, you will have to wait, but it is definitely worth it. You will not be disappointed.

We spent 7 days in Maggie valley and were unable to get into this restaurant due to the popularity and they are only open from 8-12. On our last day there, we got there when they opened and it was worth the wait. Everyone there is very pleasant and the food / breakfast was great and yes the pancakes are... More

We were seated promptly with efficient beeper system. Fast and friendly service. Wonderful crisp bacon and perfect waffle. Coffee refilled constantly. Very nice open, airy atmosphere with high beamed ceiling and big windows showing the autumn scenery. Couldn't ask for a better way to start a day in the mountains!

Joeys is one of our favorite places for breakfast! It is always on our itinerary when visiting Maggie Valley. My personal favorite is the corned beef hash, cooked to a crispy perfection. You will have a short wait but they have complimentary hot fresh coffee while you wait. The staff is very hospitable and prompt delivery of a hot fresh... More
