After numerous attempts to make it in the door at Joey's Pancake House, we managed to get there before the out the door line formed. Some establishments are enshrined as Institutions, Joey's is one such place. The owner is still greeting guest upon arrival, albeit on a slower pace, there she is handing you a beeper box as you await... More

Joey's is an institution! Help yourself to some coffee and wait your turn to get a table….you will not be disappointed. The Cheesy Hash browns are fabulous along with their pancakes, etc. It is only opened for BREAKFAST…need I say more!

My husband and I visited Joeys May 29, our last day in the area. It was fantastic. I love pancakes, my husband not so much. However, he loved the omelet he had. The waitress was friendly and kept our coffee filled. When we are back in the area we will definitely go back. If you love a good breakfast, you... More

I eat here every summer when the family comes up for our annual vacation. This place is the best. Don't listen to bad reviews. If something is wrong, Joey's will fix it. I tried something new, did not like it, and got my usual with no issues. The eggs are great, bacon perfect and prices are fair. It's worth the... More

I can't understand why anyone would wait in line for this place. The pancakes are mundane, the eggs poorly cooked. the sausage tasteless. and the bacon undercooked. All that for a sevrly inflated price.

Every time we passed by Joey's the parking lot was full, so we knew it had to be good. On our last day in Maggie Valley, we got up early and had no problem finding a table. My daughter had the blueberry pancakes with powdered sugar and ate every bite. I had the traditional pancakes with eggs and bacon. The... More

The pancakes were light and fluffy, not heavy or stoggy. The staff were friendly and efficient - my coffee cup was never empty. It can be very busy, especially on weekends, but worth the wait.

Maybe it was because of the hype or maybe because of the wait one always sees outside of Joey's but I expected a little more from this restaurant. The food didn't blow me away as it was quite ordinary. The service was fine and friendly but because they were so busy I felt more like I was on an assembly... More
