BBQ on the water

Cold beer, great view from the deck (screened to keep the critters where they belong), a little pricey for food in plastic baskets. Fried corn was good, didn't expect it to be the whole ear! They food was good but we didn't really care for the BBQ sauces.

We usually stop by BOTC during our vacation in Maggie Valley. We used to visit a few times during our stay but the last few vacations only once since we didn't really crave the food like we did before. We got the pulled chicken which was pretty good but I'm not sure if it was actually smoked. The sides of... More

Bar b q on the river, Sides were great too. Even had a glass shop to visit after eating, and they do custom glass blowing while you wait.

Tried Butts for the first time on this years trip to Maggie Valley. The menu offers lots of choices. The food was slow cooked, but did not have much smoked flavor. Nonetheless we all enjoyed our meals. The sides were all good, especially the hush puppies and spinach casserole.

Some of the best ribs and Q I have ever had. We really enjoyed eating here. Great staff, and super fast service. They were glad to have us. Place was full and all looked happy to us.

There is a smoker out front blowing hard; but it seems unlikely they are actually using it to smoke pig. If they are smoking butts somewhere, I don't know what kind of rub they are using, if any. The marquee says pulled pork; but is is finely shredded. The BBQ was very bland, about the worst I have ever had.... More

Butts on the Creek is exactly the kind of place you hope to find on a vacation in the Smoky Mountains, rustic with great food. The special tonight was 1/2 rack of ribs, 1/2 pound of beef brisket and 2 sides for $11.95. What a deal! Just a 1/2 side of ribs was $5 more. The ribs were falling off... More

Stopped there after a long day of riding and the food was good. Not the best bbq i ahve ever had but a cool place to go and relax after riding.

Decided to try this place. The ribs were really good. The chicken was really dry. My husband got the brisket and it wasn't good either. The sides were good.

We went to Maggie valley for Wheels through time museum. Afterwards we went to Butts on the Creek for lunch. The sign was sitting beside a smoker. That is the only thing close to smoke in the whole restaurant. When you walk in you have to order at the front counter and pay right then. You are told the drink... More
