BBQ is excellent with fair portions. The eating area is above Jonathan Creek which makes for a lovely view, nice and shady. Who can beat the sound of a rushing creek while eating?

My family went to eat here and it was so delicious. My daughter had the ribs, I had beef bar-b-cue, and my husband had the pulled pork. We sat on their porch beside the creek and enjoyed the fresh mountain air as well as the food. If you visit Maggie Valley, you have to eat here!

Excellent food and friendly service! We particularly enjoyed the ribs and fried corn. We will definitely visit again.

If you like BBQ this is the place to visit in Maggie Valley. They smoke all of their BBQ in large smokers on the property. The smell of the BBQ will make your mouth start watering. I love the BBQ platter and their onion rings. My wife loved the pork ribs and the potato salad & baked beans. The servers... More

Having lived in WNC for 8 years, I only recently visited Butts on the Creek for the first time a few weeks ago. I hadn't been aware that it does not offer table service, but that's not a major point. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area that don't offer table service, but Butts on the Creek... More

Very friendly place with excellent BBQ. I had the Brisket sandwich made with lettuce, tomato and mayo. They said they didn't usually make them that way but they would do it for me. It was excellent and the price was as good as the sandwich. My friend had the BBQ plate and said it was very good too!

He had dinner here one night. You walk up to a counter and place your order, seat yourself after getting your drink and they bring your food. The food was OK..we did not go back. Also they say they have 1/2 of a chicken on the menu, but it is only a leg and a thigh..that is 1/4 of a... More

The food was not good. The barbeque was bland and tasteless. The Brunswick stew was not stew more like pulled pork with a few veggies. The only thing that was good was the fried corn and its corn on the cob dipped in onion ring batter and fried. It was delicious. Overall it was a waste of money and we... More

Very nice atmosphere, right on the creek. It's a walk up and order place, but the BBQ pork was very good.

the BQ was very good . kind of a casual place, you order than go get your drinks and silverware than sit down at a table they bring the food to you . kind of like a porch setting with the creek running by outside the window was very relaxing
