Good restaurant for dinner

We had prime rib that might could have been better but certainly wasn't bad. Staff was very nice and price was reasonable.

My wife and I had an excellent meal at J Arthur on August 24, celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary. Our adult children had given us a gift certificate in the amount of $100 for our special occasion. Our server was excellent, the food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. However, when it came time to settle up,... More

A variety of well-made foods await the hungry patron. Steak is the favorite of most but Italian Foods fill the menu. Patrons encounter friendly attention from the start and the atmosphere is truly pleasant. Prices are a bit on the upper side of "medium" but are justified by the entrees.

The steaks at J.Arthur's were very good but what will bring me back next time we're in Maggie Valley is the Bleu Cheese/ Gorgonzola salad dressing! The dressing and the friendly staff, especially our waitress Hayley. We sat in the bar area which was quieter than the main dining room.

It is obvious to us that the management of the restaurant is the number one issue here. As other reviews state, a patron's experience varies greatly from day to day here. This is another restaurant in a tourist town that is hanging on by the barest of threads because most visitors don't bother reviewing and only stop in for one... More

Ordered Basa (fish) with salad and baked potato. Fish was small but good. The salad was small with lettuce, a few slices of onion and one slice of tomato. When I ordered the baked potato, the server asked if I wanted sour cream, cheese, or bacon, to which I said, "Only the bacon on the side." She brought all three.... More

The staff greets you smiling and the service doesn't stop. We really enjoyed the meal and the décor was fun. They run an electric train above you creating a unique eating experience.

We had a sandwich for dinner. I had the French Dip and it was outstanding. Very nice restaurant. You can eat for a decent price or go very expensive. Will eat there again.

The food was really good. We both had prime rib which was cooked perfectly. So good that we took the leftovers and had them for lunch the next day on our hike. Double enjoyment! The staff was really friendly.

Went with family for dinner. Food was good but pricey. Definitely a restaurant for the wealthier tourists.
