Nice, "Old-timey" restaurant

Since 1952, this ;little eatery has been operating in Maggie. We stopped one evening to have a quick hamburger and found the meal to be exceptionally good. The atmosphere is very much that of a restaurant of that era, but it is neat, clean, and the service was good. We topped off the meal... read more

While looking for a late breakfast we chose Maggie Valley Restaurant based on the parking lot being full of a variety of cars, trucks and motorcycles !!!!! We had omelets, perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs and fabulous biscuits with butter and gravy. The owner was a really nice, interesting gentleman that we enjoyed speaking with as we paid our bill. I decided to try this place and boy were my wife and I disappointed. We both had the slaw and it was wilted as if it were 3 days old. The corn bread was terrible and salty and the menu said two pork chops and she got one that was over done. The hamburger steak was fair iced but dry... More

Decided to try this restaurant while we were in Maggie Valley. Bad decision on my part. Ordered burger with fries. When the order came I looked down at my plate and noticed my fries had HAIRS on them. When the waitress was "passing" by our table I handed her one of the fries with HAIR. She took it and then... We travel to Maggie Valley at least twice a year and this is always good. My last visit I had the pulled pork plate. Not only was the pork flavorful, but it also was tender and free of fat. There are other places in town to get barbecue but this was the best that I had eaten. My only regret... More

$9 hamburger? Most of the food is frozen. Really, in Maggie Valley. These menu prices are ridiculous. Leave this place for the tourists. The locals know where to go for good food at reasonable prices.

We ordered late and didn't even know what they had. The lady was very sweet and helped us thru the menu. Also staff had everything we could... More

Ordered a side of grits, toast, tea, bacon and egg sandwich and coffee and totaled over $15. Lesson learned, will go up the road and get food just as good at a cheaper price. When we questioned the bill, the waitress had a smart mouth. We are not ones to complain about prices but feel this place is over priced.
