the best meat loaf short of homemade and my mother adored the fried chicken. wish they had more veggie choices but the Steak sandwich was awesome as well.. and great food for the price.

I'm a Cleveland Co. photographer who travels into the Smokies, Gatlinburg, Sevierville, etc., regularly. Many times we're in Maggie Valley just before daybreak. If you want home cooking, stay home. We think Maggie Valley Restaurant is very good. Top that with delightful waitresses, working man's / tourist's atmosphere and they have loyal customers with us. Questionnaire below: we don't know... This restaurant has been here forever, and while the service was good the food was so so. Wish it could have been true home cooking, but if you like it that is great. Just wasn't too impressed.

You can order breakfast or lunch here which makes this a bit unusual. Food was great. Long wait, but busy week end in Maggie Valley.

We ate here several times during our week in Maggie. The food was more like home cooking. Service was adequate. They are a local favorite.

If you are looking for "fancy" this is not the place, but if you are looking for good down home cooking then be sure and stop by and eat! Maggie's cafe has really good food and nice folks working here. You'll find vegetables that taste homemade and meats that are so tender and good that you'll think Grandma cooked for... More

Not deserving the lavish praise of some reviewers, but a good place with down home style food and a good selection of veggies. Reasonably priced. We were amused that one reviewer complained about $8 for a four veggie plate. Where can you find a vegetable plate any cheaper these days?

If you want country food like Granny used to make, this is the place to stop. You may have to wait a while before you get seated, but meal is worth it. Just take a seat outside and make new friends like we did. We'll definitely be visiting this restaurant again!

I think they get a lot of overflow from visitor's that don't want to wait for a table at Joey's Pancake House. The food is average, and priced well. We had a 5-10 minute wait, which wasn't bad.

The food was good, staff was great, and friendly. We eat there on Tuesday when the other place is closed. But food is just as good and staff just as great.
