Very satisfied

We had breakfast here and was very happy with the meal. One granddaughter got scrambled eggs and she thought they tasted a little strange, I tried them and they seemed fine, maybe a little underdone to my liking. I had fried eggs and they were perfect. Maggie Valley family restaurant is a great place to eat. Home style cooking , good waitress , and the food is great and the portions are large enough to feed the biggest eaters. I had the fried catfish two meals there and it was great , oh by the way the breakfast food is just as good.

We went a little after they opened. It is typical diner fare, with hearty portions. The restaurant had locals as well as visits in it.

We went for dinner recently on a friend's recommendation of their mountain trout. My wife had a generous portion of grilled mountain trout (you can also get it fried) with a garden salad and green beans. She deemed it excellent. I had the fish and chips meal. Batter was light and flavorful, fish was cooked perfectly and the fries came... More

My wife and I planned to be driving through MV about early dinner time to eat at MVR. It is not our first or 10th time. It had been a couple of years though. I looked over the menu, but I knew what I was likely to order. I would probably be upset if I showed up one day and... More

We ate here 3 times while were in Maggie Valley, once for breakfast and twice for dinner. My friend said his eggs and sausage with fresh fried potatoes was as good as any breakfast he has ever had. My pancakes were OK. For dinner my friend had fried fish one night and ham steak the other. He said both were... More
