Showed up after a long drive into town and a disappointing hotel choice on 8/22/14. Thought Salty Dog's was going to be the turn around of our trip, but we were wrong. We waited to be seated as waitress after waitress saw us at the door and no one came. We decided to seat our selves so someone could hopefully... More

Our waitress was just great! I think her name was Jolene. She was friendly and had a great smile and attitude. The food was as expected, good and fairly priced. We had the fried oysters. Lots of them. We looked forward to coming here just for the oysters and we are from Florida. Go figure. Come and enjoy the food and... More

While on vacation in the Smoky Mountains, we happened on the Salty Dog. It had eclectic atmosphere and delicious food. Don't miss the mac and cheese as a side, too. My granddaughters loved getting their food in a double dog bowl.

Hour wait for a burger and fries. A leaky ceiling has led them to post drawings and menu's above your head that are now brown and falling down. I don't recommend it at all, or any other eating establishment in Maggie Valley. The best food we had was pizza hut and a hotel waffle.

The burgers were good, the beer was cold, Josh gave fine service and Mile High rocked the house! We will return the next time we're in Maggie Valley!

Being locals, we have eaten here many times over the last several years. Overall, the place is a good restaurant with some of the best seafood in the area, including much more expensive places. The grouper fingers and shrimp are great, and the stuffed crabs are the best I have had anywhere, including coastal Virginia where the things were invented.... More

There were six black females in our party. We decided to go to the Salty Dog because we were told that they had Karaoke and that all were welcomed to come. The tables only sat four people so we had two people at one table and four right beside it. The first two people put in their order and when... More

This place was disgusting ! Everyone insisted we go there because it's biker friendly. I guess if you just have a beer and leave you may be lucky. Lucky enough to not see the dozens of mice the place had running along the edges of the walls. The cook that looked like an escaped convict came out of the kitchen... More

They were short staffed, but that doesn't make it right to be rude to the customers, we ordered 2 sweet teas and were delivered in reasonable time, my wife asked directions to the restroom and the rude waitress just pointed over her shoulder without even turning around, then after 25 minutes waitress 2 came over and told us she was...
