Visiting from Florida and I stayed at Maggie Valley. As a healthy person I wanted fresh seafood for dinner, I ate twice at Salty Dog's Seafood and was impressed. Tasty crab cakes, steamed shrimp, and locally caught Mountain Trout.

This place is beyond disgusting...can't believe people eat this greasy crap! Also the worst service I ever had.....took waitress 1/2 hr. just to get us menus....waited over a hour for some of the worst food ever....it was just us and 3 other guys...stay clear of this place!! Also they had karaoke that night...some of the worst singers....we thought we were... More

I've always had great luck here when I've stopped in for lunch with my riding buddies on motorcycle days in the mountains. Every time I've been here they have had a $5.00 lunch special that included a giant sandwich of some sort and a side. Their homemade potato chips are delicious as a side, by the way. Keep in mind... This was absolutely the most horrible dining experience I have ever had. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks, 2 hours to get the food which was all brought out at different times, by the time everyone had their food half of the group was finished eating, 4 or the orders were completely wrong, we asked to see the... My wife and I went to Salty Dog's Grill in Maggie Valley, NC for lunch last weekend. My wife ordered steamed shrimp and a baked potato while I ordered a cheeseburger with their special homemade chips. My wife said her shrimp were fresh, wonderfully seasoned with a touch of Old Bay and cooked to perfection. They would be considered large... More

The service was great and the seafood was fresh and tasty. Enjoyed the shrimp the most on the platter. The hushpuppies are great too. Enjoy!

This is absolutely terrible food. Place needs cleaning and a new chef. We went there thinking it was part of the Salty Dog chain. NOT Run, don't walk away from here!!!!!

Service was terrible. Food was good. You would think that they would've had more help for a bike rally, go figure. I don't think that I will return there again. I was not pleased what so ever. But, it was a descent place to go if it wasn't so crowded and slow service.
