Ate here due to large part due to Trip. rating. Usually good choice, but not this time. Friendly atmosphere, server very talkative. Some of the customers somewhat less than stellar along with their language. Most patrons were bikers which may explain what went on, definitely not suitable family atmosphere. Soup of the day was good but I didn't get what... More

Newest location in the Maggie area. The grill has hours of Wed- Sun. Always thought a hotel should have food service daily. The menu is unique and has some great items. Had the potato skins. Great! load and tasty 9.95 Then the main course, Smoked pork tenderloin, sliced with a glazed sauce, loaded bake potato. 17.95 They served a pork... More

It must have been a horrible day to come to Maggie Valley because we've been here 24 hours and haven't had a positive experience yet. Hotel was crap, first restaurant wouldn't serve us, and then we ate at Moonshine Grill only to be served some of the worst food I've ever eaten in my life. To be clear, I eat... More

This restaurant used to have a buffet, but they deleted that and now have a menu. My family and I have had dinner here many times when it was a Buffet this time was different. To begin with there was a whole section of the Restaurant that was full of Drunks from the motorcycle gang staying there. They were very... More

My family and I visited the Moonshine Grill on August 14th (Thursday night). Food and service were excellent. We returned on August 16th (Saturday night) and it was completely different. Had to wait for a table even though there were several empty tables in the restaurant. Once we were seated we noticed several empty tables that had not been cleaned... More

This place was awesome! Great service and excellent food. You can tell it's made from scratch! The moonshine drinks are delicious. We had ribs, fries, salads, crab cakes, pb&j for our 5 yr old, potato skins- best I've ever had, the cheese spread is also wonderful! Our experience was great from the hostess, to the chef who checked on us... More

On a recent trip to the area we ordered take out from Moonshine Grill. We had burgers & the grilled chicken sandwich. Everything was great! The service was above average. They packed extra ketchup, mayo, s/p, all the things we needed to enjoy our food. Also tried the golden onion, perfect. The Key lime pie was an added bonus. Everyone... More

Quite a variety on the menu, portions served were big. We were a group about 8 people and everyone like their food. I didn't order dessert but those that did made me wish I had. Very big portions and great tasting food.

My wife and I ate here for the first time last night. The service was great, and the food was excellent. We both enjoy cooking at home, and are pretty good at it, so it is rarely that we are really impressed with a restaurant. We were impressed with this one. The complimentary crackers and port wine cheese dip that... More
