The food is not bad but as in any seasonal area, it's on the pricey side. A note for large groups or any group that wants to plan an event here. The cook leases the kitchen/dining area from the lodge. He's a small mom/pop business so if you're planning a special occasion, you need to give him an exact head... More

We have been passing by the Moonshine Grill for several years and this year my husband wanted to try it. We sure are glad we did! Our server, Seth was so friendly and very helpful with suggestions. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food was absolutely delicious. We had trouble deciding on what to order, so I ordered the wood-grilled... More

The atmosphere was terrible; the customers were complaining about our child's very low volume iPad - and we are conscientious parents! The waitress was impolite and the appetizer food was merely adequate. You will get a much better value for your meal across the street at Country Vineyard Cafe!

Excellent Wood fired grilled food! Nice atmosphere with a great menu. Wood-grilled Salmon, Ribs, Chicken & steaks. Don't forget the Creme Brûlée for dessert. For you moonshiners, they have that too!

From start to finish everything was spot on, friendly greetings as soon as you walk through the door, my wife and I have had the pleasure of eating here several times, and have always had very attentive waiters/waitresses even the owner/manager frequently stops by the table to make sure that everything is to our satisfaction. We always make sure we... More

We were in Maggie Valley for our annual ski trip and choose the Moonshine Grill on a whim. The food was phenomenal. My husband had a steak that was grilled to perfection. I had the shrimp and grits that were absolutely melt in your mouth yummy. The kids had the moonshine chicken and ate every bite on their plate. (That's... More

Our group was staying on Cherokee and decided to ride over to Maggie Valley for dinner. We waited for restaurant to open at 4:30. It was worth the wait. We ate an awesome dinner and as we were finishing our meal Tim Smith from Moonshiners came walking in and stopped and talked with us and let us get our picture... More

Mixed reviews from a number of sites. My wife and I felt it was worth a try. Greeted on entering, screen to a booth and taken care of by a very pleasant waitress. My wife had the catfish, which she said was very good, and I had a Cobb salad large enough for two people. French onion soup to start... More

We were visiting the area and made it a point of going to a different place each day. The staff were very nice and the food was wonderful.

There seemed to be just 3-4 places to choose from for dinner....we just decided to eat at the restaurant at our hotel. It was top notch from the atmosphere to the service. Not to mention that the food was fantastic! My husband opted for a steak and I got the black and blue burger. His steak was wonderful but my... More
