Food was Excellent, Service was fair at best

I thought the food was excellent. The staff for the most part could have cared less about the clients who dined there. They should have been better trained and more attentive to the client's needs.

We were staying next door to the inn attached to the restaurant. We were looking for an easy way to find some dinner so we walked over at ate at the Moonshine Grill. I suppose that since we were looking for a lazy way to get dinner out of the way our expectations were low. What we discovered was an... More

Clean, well lit and good atmosphere. Pros: Service is prompt and friendly. I ordered the half rack and my wife ordered the ribeye. The ribs were excellent and my wife said the ribeye was the best steak she has ever eaten. Cons: With dinner and a glass of wine/and a drink we spent $70... My wife didn't appreciate having to... Worst food we've eat'n in a long while. White fish"pangasius" bottom feeding farm raised fish from Asia. Don't call it fish & chips because it not. Fish was so poor quality ate only one bite. World famous cheese/wine spread. Really. Sister in-law had slow roasted pork loin. Neither slow cooked or smoked. Looked like leather medallions with liquid smoke added... More

Dear Darrin, For your information, Popcorn did eat at my restaurant frequently and enjoyed it very much. Do you always have such a bad experience and never tell anyone? You are quite special. I really think you have issues, more than just with our food. Thanks for bashing and lying about my restaurant. If you will call me I will... More

We were staying in Maggie Valley for the weekend. After a day of sightseeing we pulling into the restaurant for a nice meal. We walked into the lobby, which appeared not busy, as it was late in the day. We stood at the 'wait to be seated' sign for about 7-8 minutes and no assistance. So we left. On our... More

We are here last year on our visit to Maggie Valley and loved the food. We decided we had to go again. Once again our food was amazing! I got the wood grilled chicken, it was so moist and had such a good wood fire taste to it. I highly recommend you stop. If the parking lot is full, don't... More

We picked this restaurant because of the reviews, and they didn't let us down! The food was wonderful. My husband got ribs that were tender and great, and I got an angus burger that was cooked perfectly (I was in the mood!) Definitely try the creme brulee!!! Our server was so much fun, and happy to answer every question. She... More
